It's so easy to find info about TES VI/upcoming Bethesda games on the internet. According to Pete Hines they want to release 2 AAA games before TES VI so 2025 is the most reasonable date.

Lmao, you really think we won't see it till 2025? 14 years after Skyrim? We won't be waiting that long.

Well their is also Elder Scrolls online that still has some DLC coming.

TESVI: OK, no chance for 2019/2020 - i understand.

Hopefully if skyrim vr development went well, they will make elder scrolls 6 a vr game from the ground up. By its release (most likely 2020+) vr should have already replaced normal gaming.
Biggest problem with vr is still many people havnt tried it. This will change with increasements of VR hardware sales. Many people cant go back after playing vr so starting to develop a non vr game now wouldnt be very clever. Nobody wants to play that in a few years.

Great PSVR gets some advertising! I guess that's the best they can do to showcase VR.
The real thing doesn't really show, watching someone else play always feels a bit sickening as well

I hope you can turn the tunnel vision off while walking, stop ruining the experience with 'comfort' options.

already confirmed, you can ;)

This is how you sell vr btw:

Sadly I don't think TES VI is coming for a long time, which makes me sad

2021 just seems so far away.

Yeah I saw on another site that tunnel vision is optional :)

That kinda advertising only leads to disappointment! They use live action trailers for flat games as well, so whatever. It's a cool tv spot, I'll take it. Yet I know what to expect when putting the headset on, ps3 level graphics with amazing immersion.

Most VR games are better looking then PS3 games so far (especially on the pro).

Farpoint does look better then all 60 fps shooters on PS3/X360 (like COD, Halo and so on).

Robinson looks pretty much like a non vr ps4 game:

So ill definitly expecting better graphics then ps3/x360 for skyrim. Obviously not as good as witcher 3, but it should look significantly better then the switch version for example.

Bethesda announced awhile back that they have 2 big AAA games coming before TES 6. Considering how slow they are, even with the 2nd studio they opened, I'm not expecting TES 6 until 2023 at the earliest.

Didn't they release 4 games in 2017 including Doom and Wolfeinstein?

I don't get why people think an announcement is coming soon. Fallout 4 was finished up only about a year ago. Historically, Bethesda works on one series at a time. If that's still the case then they've only been developing the next Elder Scrolls for one year. Yes, a lot of early planning and artistic work might already have been done but not the real substance.

There is also the speculation that they might be switching game engines (ha) which would extend development time.

Of course, it's always possible that they changed their routine and hired more people to start work on Elder Scrolls early, or had their new studio work on it, but I would need some kind of confirmation before I trusted that assumption as plausible.

Finally, Bethesda doesn't like to make announcements early. Fallout 4 was announced just a few months before release.

They finished Oblivion in early 2006 not including al the DLC and released Fallout 3 in 2008. So a next year announcement shouldn't be that fast.

Not to mention that the fallout franchise was bought by Bethesda only in mid 2007...

However... Bethesda started working on Fallout 3 as far back as 2004.

Oblivion entered development shortly after Morrowind in 2002.

So a 4 year development cycle isn't to far out of the realm of expectation... However. Games are getting larger, more complex, more development intensive so blowing that out by a year or two wouldn't be entirely out of the realm of possibility.

I am thinking 2019 is the likely year for the next elder scrolls game. Hopefully it's visuals are significant.

I have been playing PSVR since release, but perhaps my memories of last gen are tainted.

Sure it looks better in a you tube video, blown up to 110 degrees fov it very much resembles ps3/360 kind of graphical fidelity. Also lighting is toned down to look closer to last gen instead of the physics based rendering that's popular this gen. But I guess in the case of Skyrim, the ps3 version actually looked quite bad:

I am expecting better than that moon landscape.

But you're right Farpoint does look pretty polished on PSVR. But then you have AZ Sunshine as well... Robinson needs the pro to get good visuals and the lighting still looks last gen. Plus ports like DC do look closer to last gen than the showcase it is this gen. Even GTS in VR looks like last gens GT in VR when it comes to track fidelity and lighting. So I rather keep my expectations down considering it's a Bethesda port :) GTS was quite disappointing (moreso since you can't do anything in VR, Skyrim doesn't have that problem)

5 more days!

Here's Robinson on the pro btw

Better than Skyrim on the ps3 in a 720p comparison, but way closer to that than HZD! Definitely does not look like a non VR ps4 game. PSVR is awesome, just being realistic here.
