Forums - Sony Discussion - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR. But.. TESVI: 2019/2020 or later?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR PlayStation VR bundle announced for North America. Release: November 17!

And a question: What do you think about next Game, TES VI ? Many years have passed. What do you think .. are the developers working on a new generation of Elder of Scroll ... the sixth part? I think so and expect an announcement for next year. Let's see .. would be cool if it appears in 2019.

They need a bit more time to figure out the maximum amount of micro transactions that can be crammed into a singleplayer game.

Spend Bethesda Coins to fast travel!

Skyrim needs to be ported to mobile devices first.

It's so easy to find info about TES VI/upcoming Bethesda games on the internet. According to Pete Hines they want to release 2 AAA games before TES VI so 2025 is the most reasonable date.
Most people don't bother to do research and that's why we still see so many dumb comments like ''We still don't know what type of game Death Stranding is going to be'' even tough Kojima told us many times how the game is going to play.

I don't get why people think an announcement is coming soon. Fallout 4 was finished up only about a year ago. Historically, Bethesda works on one series at a time. If that's still the case then they've only been developing the next Elder Scrolls for one year. Yes, a lot of early planning and artistic work might already have been done but not the real substance.

There is also the speculation that they might be switching game engines (ha) which would extend development time.

Of course, it's always possible that they changed their routine and hired more people to start work on Elder Scrolls early, or had their new studio work on it, but I would need some kind of confirmation before I trusted that assumption as plausible.

Finally, Bethesda doesn't like to make announcements early. Fallout 4 was announced just a few months before release.

Great PSVR gets some advertising! I guess that's the best they can do to showcase VR.
The real thing doesn't really show, watching someone else play always feels a bit sickening as well

I hope you can turn the tunnel vision off while walking, stop ruining the experience with 'comfort' options.

They already confirmed they are. But it wasnt on full production yet.

I imagine it will go on full production now that the VR and Switch versions are done. So... maybe in 2 years.

Lmao, you really think we won't see it till 2025? 14 years after Skyrim? We won't be waiting that long.

They finished Oblivion in early 2006 not including al the DLC and released Fallout 3 in 2008. So a next year announcement shouldn't be that fast.
