All the 7th gen the higher resolution of multiplatform games on PC "didn't matter"... now it is a revelation. ;)

:P

In fairness, console players haven't ever seen anything like the X.

I'll be picking mine up in... About 9 hours. ;)

PS4pro does have some 80+ games at 4k (checkerboarded or native).

So its not like people havnt been able to play any games at 4k before, on consoles.

I think people are missing the point entirely.

A resolution upgrade and some filtering it really making these games look a lot more polished.

I didnt think the upgrade would be this significant due to asset quality. I kinda want an X1X to play Gears 3 in 4K.

That'll teach you, OP! Coming in here all happy and optimistic about improvements to some game. I didn't even watch the video but I'm not impressed, either!

I guess this is akin to how good Wii games looked on the Dolphin emulator. I never saw one running in person but people used to post pics from it. I always despised how Wii games looked in 480p.

I'm more than happy with 720p (though I do have a 4K TV and an Xbox One X on the way) but there is a point where things are just too blurry.

Why the hell is that exclusive to the X though? It's not nearly impressive enough to not run on the One ...

Honestly it does not look like a remaster. Now Oblivion mods? Probably

Quality-wise, I don't see any differences.

But the objects in the game seem to move a bit when the line passes by. Is that just because the player is in a slightly different position, or did they actually change stuff?

This is what it looked like on my pc in 2006, the original PC version.

I only had a 1280x1024 monitor in 2006 though. Yet Skyrim on ps3 was a downgrade.
It had a capable physics engine as well :)

I could spend hours spwaning tons of crap through the console and watch it avalanche down a mountain side, bury a town, or throw a big fireball in the middle like above.

Ofcourse sticking it in widescreen and downsample from 4K to a youtube video makes it all look nice and smooth. Yet indeed, why can't the S super sample a game from 2006...

I'd honestly argue that game is the "uncharted 2" of early 7th gen open world games. It holds up incredibly well...

i dont see whats impressive its being upscaled to fit a 4k image it looks amazing thats for sure but its expected. man i remeber this game in 2007 then again in 2008 on ps3, the music is simply buatifull
