Forums - General Discussion - The temperature in my city dropped 50 degrees celcius in 1 week. Damn you Canada!

Canada

Hahahahaha! USA! USA! USA... 8 14.81%

How the fuck is that even possible? 24 44.44%

I would just jump into th... 12 22.22%

See results. 10 18.52%

Total:54

That's harsh. A lot of Canada get's that hard drop near winter and quick heat up near summer at some point, but a 50C drop that quick has got to really sting, especially for those that work outside all day. It's a small price to pay for the cold though. While I absolutely hate Ontario's humid +30C temps, I also hate the -20C plus windchill just as much. Given the choice between too hot vs too cold though, I prefer cold. Easier to stay warm than to get cool. The puck bunnies are always looking for someone warm to latch onto as well. lol. That's not a typo btw.

Climate change doesnt exist! /rolleyes

Actually this would count as (short-term) climate change!

I know. But if you don't say it like that the deniers won't get it.

And I thought that we had it bad in central BC, yeah the East has it way worse xD I totally got stuck in the trap of not having winter tires on my car yet too, I'm still not used to this country!

You need to have separate winter tires? :O

Yeah :c the traction provided by the grip in normal tires isn't enough to overcome the extreme slipperiness of ice. Winter tires usually have quite different tread, that specialise in working in such conditions. It's a pain to change tires over every year. People complain about daylight savings each year, but this is way more work to compensate for!!

I feel bad for you, as a fellow Canadian. It only dropped 20-30C here in BC. Move to BC if you can. It's quite nice here. Right now, at 7:39PM, it's only -4C.

Be thankful you have seasons. We have a "cold front" coming that will "drop" our temperatures down to 78F. Yay.

Where exactly do you live man? Frankly, I prefer being hot than cold (though not excessively).

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Central Florida. You would not prefer it as it's not only hot, but incredibly humid as well.
