May 10 2019. It's that easy, kirby. They converted the way they talk into the format.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I know I had this discussion with @Machina awhile back, but even "speaking" a date in the US is apparently different than the way you Europeans would say it (which is obviously what leads to the different formats). Whereas I would say, "Today is May tenth, two-thousand nineteen" - you all would say, "Today is the tenth of May, two thousand nineteen".

...what's interesting is that no matter where you are from, just the other method of speaking a date feels completely foreign.

Probably necessary because I speak German. German has the strange trait that double-digit numbers from 21 onwards are basically read backwards.

42
forty-two
zweiundvierzig

Nobody says vierzigzwei. It's two and forty.

I haven't come across any other major languages that do it like German.

It doesn't seem to be possible to subscribe to threads that you've posted. The "subscribe to thread" button isn't there, only "edit thread".

Also, I mentioned this elsewhere already, but it would be nice to be able to use different date formats for thread bets because at the moment all of my bets for May look like they end in November which obviously looks very strange.

The "subscribe" change was mentioned here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=9004232

And yes - in fact, I did answer you about the date thing - I've just got a full plate at the moment, but I'll get to it eventually. In the meantime, just accept the fact that the way the dates currently post now, make sense to those of us from the US - and the date format you propose to see, makes almost no sense to us...

Sorry Talon, but that subscribe change is a really bad news. Pretty stupid that I can't add a thread to my subscribed topics just because I started it and some people might point farm. I've already got some threads that I've started in my subscribed topics and it's really useful having them there so it's annoying not to ever be able to add any more.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

English can do it like that actually. Specifically old people and the number 25. They might say it as 5 and 20 instead. It's weird.

Maybe the best solution would be to simply add a new tab on the VGC buddy, for threads you made? There's still room for another tab on the thing.

That was another announcement I missed. Not a good justification to prevent users from subscribing to their own threads when a subscription will add a one-time gain of only 3 points.

Talon wasn't around during the actual point farming days. People created highly controversial threads to collect the points from people posting in their threads and point farmers weren't looking for 3 points, but rather 300 or more.

But it's good to know that Agrees net 2 points. I'll be rich in no time considering how common Agrees are for my posts. If my profile levels up, I'll get a badge that comes with a couple of thousand vg$ which will be used for my next ban fines.

I agree with this. I subscribe to my own official threads such as my Pokemon one so I can always quickly go back to it when ever big news drops to update the OP.

It would be much more of a hassle if I had to manually go looking for it myself each time, especially if it's no longer in the "recent" section of my buddy.
