What would the retail price of the game dictate its quality?

Ratchet and clank launched at 40$

Senua's Sacrifice launched at 30$

Cuphead launched at 20$

To justify the expectations of a game based on how much it cost is just illogical.

It says a lot about a games quality. I won’t pay top dollar and expect shit or pay low dollar and expect something amazing.

Ratch n Clank is a Remaster (That’s Obvious) Remasters should never cost full price.

Never heard or care about Senua's Sacifice so I can’t relate.

Cup Head is worth exactly its price. I wouldn’t want to have paid more.

If a game is cheap than there is a good reason why its cheap.

I dont agree with your stance on the subject, but i dont feel like adding more to my original point.

P.D. Ratchet and Clank is a Remake.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a Remaster.

        2 different things.

The price of a game should tell you about the scope of a game, Not it's quality.

Nex Machina is $19.99 and is therefore a smaller scale game than a full priced retail game, but it's sitting at 88 on Metacritic. Journey was $19.99 and is at a 92.

If I'm spending less than $60 on a game I expect it to be smaller, not worse. You're just making excuses because one of the few exclusives your preferred console maker is releasing this year turned out to be sub par.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

PS4 and XB1 will both come with $200 game bundles. That puts the base price of a console alone at $140 - $155 depending on whether or not you are using Gamer's Club Unlocked.

I think Sony and Nintendo get an artificial boost to their reviews I think microsoft gets an artificial descension in scores. I'm a nintendo and pc gamer so no dog in this fight. And i don't accessorize with tin foil

I belive this is nonsense, but to each their own.

What I will say is that right after mario oddyssie any other platformer would just be looked downed upon.

A lot of comments sound like hate

I dont doubt that a lot of comments had intended hate, some just sound like hate cuz people feel attacked when facing reality.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Both games arent worth full price in my opinion and Gears UE was not sold at full price which was a good thing. Not sure about Ratchet.

As for my stance, i wouldnt pay Top dollar for Indie or small dev games and i dont judge games harshly when sold cheap either.

Any one expecting this game to be a amazing had over hyped themselves. Much like the crazed Knack 2 hype.

Let's try this again. The price of a game does not correspond to its quality. There is no correlation between how much a game costs and its review scores.

It's silly to suggest that we can't expect an inexpensive game to review well because we see inexpensive games do so all the time.

The price can refer to a games quality. Why is a game cheap to begin with? Clearly its lacking something and not always the scope of it either.

Yes some games turn out amazing and some games are trash. Thats the gamble in this industry.

If you think the price is always based on the scope of the game than thats your view on it. Iv played some pretty cheap games that have alot of scope to them.
