No.
Still has a library of notable content, a great place to play 3rd party content unlike Switch, and BC fantastic.
Could be better? Sure. But this is why I own multiple consoles. They could all be better.

As a secondary console, the Xbox One wouldnt be my first choice.
IMO, The Xbox One is the worst Xbox console ever, obviously judging it by its content. Its exclusive content.
Now that we have the Switch in the race, which is an Amazing console by itself, it shows how lacking the One is.

You're touching on something I feel but not just about Xbox. I feel like this generation is the sequel to the last in generation. When it comes to software, nothing groundbreaking is really happening, its kinda like we're getting more polished games but fundamentally not a far cry from last gen.
Is Xbox One the worst console ever? Uhmmm... ehhh... more like its just the successor of what did well on 360. I feel the same way about PS4 in regard to PS3. Here's more of those type of games but it looks and maybe plays better. Same could be said about Switch and Wii U.
The only thing amazing about Switch is its portable. That same content on Wii U was less interesting for some reason and it sold 13 million? But its easy to think X1 is lacking if you just don't like its exclusives. Which is fine, but Wii U had great games and sold horribly.
Either way, between a very respectable line up on X1 and many notable games via BC, I feel the X1S is great purchase because tons of notable content. If you don't share that view... I don't really care. I personally get all the consoles even if I only wanna play a few notable games, but after price cuts. That's what justified my Wii U purchase and I have no regrets even if its one of my least used consoles.
