We all should have listened to spemanig!
Anyways, case is clear, as someone said so nicely.

If you want to play AAAAA third party games on Switch, just download them digitally on the SD card.
All the updates that the game will get will be digital either way. So embrace the digital future now.

So far I have been able to store everything in the internal storage with a mix of physical and digital only games. But whenever my Switch needs some expansion, I got a 128GB EVO plus (currently stuck in my mobile) waiting to help out.

Are you sure you have enough As so you can give them out so liberally? I mean, I haven't seen anyone be able to afford to use more than three before this.

Also, you can't sell digitally obtained games.

I buy 95% physical on consoles
all digital on pc

I would not own consoles if there where no physical discs, I love collecting discs, its why I buy a lot on consoles

While I favor digital on a portable console, the problem is that micro SD cards for the price/size, is about a decade behind compared to standard HDD. So to maximize storage Im buying physical whenever possible.

After SMOdyssey ( Skyrim, Doom, LA Noire, etc) is the time to invest in a card, with hopefully some good deals on black Friday. For the newest cards, 200gb at sub $80 is the best value currently https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B073JY5T7T/ref=olp_f_new?ie=UTF8&f_all=true&f_new=trueC

Been all digital on all platforms for nearly a decade. Too much value lost in physical versions. With digital my entire library is always accessable. I can use a single purchase across multiple devices in many cases. I never have to worry about getting lost, stolen, or destroyed. There is a much higher chance my library will be compatible with future devices. It puts more money towards the gaming industry, instead of giving a cut to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Gamestop, Amazon, and such.

I know some people find more value in the ability to trade and re-sell games, or have a huge display of boxes. I just don't see the appeal in any of those aspects.

I will buy all games that have a physical "Switch tax" digitally if the ENTIRE game is on the cart. An example of this is LA Noir where there is a partial download, but the game costs 10 dollars more than if you buy it digital.

If the ENTIRE game is on the cart, I will buy physical regardless of the orice being an extra 10 bucks. It is worth it to avoid the install.

If there is a partial download for physical but the price matches other platforms, I will buy physical to reduce the space used by the SD card.

This is how I am handling the situation and I encourage all other Switch owners to follow this same logic (unless you are going ALL digital anyway. In which case this no longer applies).

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I'm already full digital.
256GB SD card and every game I own besides Zelda is digital.

I keep all my games on the card and I still have 173GB left after 18 games! This includes heavy hitters like NBA 2K (26GB) and Fire Emblem (13GB) and little titles like Sonic Mania (184MB).
