It sold around 1.5m in 3 days in Japan and US, that leaves around 500k for whole Europe and rest of markets.

Very impressive. The game sold to about half of the install base (US) in less than 1 week.

Beating NSMB Wii was no easy feat... yet, it did, despite the huge difference in userbase (8 months vs 3 years, on the market!).

Let's hope they can keep up the momentum.
By end's year, NSMB Wii had already sold 10M worldwide. Now, that's a feat to beat! :)

Edit: It even beat the mighty MK Wii (1,084,638)! Again, despite the much smaller userbase.
