Never seen someone licking their chops so much to see Nintendo fail. You've done nothing but create all types of subterfuge to support your unsubstantiated proclamations of Switch failing. I think it's enough already.

now 50 -60 million is failing? it's my prediction why are some of you taking it as a personal insult.

Who's taking it as a personal insult? I'd imagine most are  just tired of reading the same ad nauseam from you.

And others wanna act like its gonna see a big drop next year for no reason.

i gave enough reasons.

1: mobile m will limit handheld growth, and we will continue to the market shrinking

2: nintedo home consoles since the 3r era have had there best year the first year, GC, N64, AND WIIU.

3 :Most nintedo fans will buy switch first year, because it has the essentials  zelda, mario, mario kart, and splatoon, 3 of those are the highest rated games of time ,and nintedo has never released so many of there biggest franchises in one year, thats are this highly acclaimed

1. A lot of people have said the same thing about PC growth and the death of console gaming; yet that never came to fruition. Yes there is now more competition for Switch, but that does not mean that it cannot be successful (and the same occurred with the home consoles). Also game revenue on PC and mobile are higher than portable consoles and home consoles, that does not mean that there is no room for growth of portable consoles and home consoles (also the same was said about entry-level DSLR market disappearing because camera phones were introduced; that never ended up happening either). The truth is the experience the people get on a mobile phone is vastly different than what a system like Switch offers (far more so, even, than the difference between console and PC games, which largely do not differ greatly).

2. N64 had its best year in its second year on the market (FY1998) and GC also peaked in its second year. Also none of these systems suddenly stopped selling both the N64 and GC has third-years that were comparable to their second year.

3. The 3DS received Zelda, Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Star Fox, Monster Hunter, and a price cut in its first year, yet it did not peak in that year. Nintendo has still not released big sellers like 2D Mario (and Mario Maker), Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, and Pokemon (and potentially other Zelda games; since there are typically 2 per system). Not to mention lesser selling but still popular games like Luigi's Mansion, Mario Party, Donkey King etc. And of course the more niche support games like Kirby, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Star Fox. On top of that there is potential for unknown new IPs (that Nintendo has confirmed are in development) to be successful (much like Splatoon ended up being) and there are third-party games that tend to well on Nintendo systems that have yet to be released (DQ, many level-5 franchises, etc.). Again this does not lament that the system will have necessarily get all of these titles (and hence being successful) but this arsenal gives Nintendo Switch a great deal of potential.

The slim PS4 may be out of stock, but it appears to have plenty of stock in Best Buy. According to Benji (who's like Abdiel), the PS4 is doing extremely well.

speaking of Abdiel, here's what he had to say in the same thread

I can't speak for Amazon, Gamestop, etc., but for Best Buy, we certainly have plenty more stock held for tonight/hopefully the weekend, and Sony last year restocked us over the weekend for Cyber Monday for the PS4 for the actual Black Friday sales. We're *required* to hold inventory for those specific SKUs, and usually we can avoid the issues of overselling the stock by allocating the units that will be used for that listing under a different internal stock number, or bundle ID, something along those lines, if it is to be used for a specific sale purpose and not to be sold before then. Helps prevent palettes from being broken open by mistake.

And guys, I mean, 'missed opportunity' is still a weird thing to say... there has been so many PS4s sold in this last week, it's been kind of ridiculous. Sony opening up this deal for the entire week was kind of brilliant, from the perspective that people that wanted the cheap console but don't think getting *just* the little extras of the doorbuster stuff that you get for waiting in line and going out on actual Thanksgiving comes with, they gave themselves a MASSIVE convenience edge, and doing advertising to drive customers to the stores with our 'pre-Black Friday' stuff we always try to do. We had a ton of inventory available for this last week available.

MS didn't have the same kind of demand for the One S going in this week, though I'm sure there will be plenty sold over this next 48 hour period.

The XBOX has done very well for itself, I'm still trying to confirm exactly what kind of numbers we had for it, since it's so hellish right now, though it is in a similar place to the Pro was, where that has nothing to do with the time of year, and everything to do with what the product is and why people want it.

Switch sales remain as brisk as ever. Consistently providing a flow of inventory that will move is a great help for us to be able to sell it, though with the nature of the actual deals that are being given elsewhere, that may be the difference in who is the highest for the month.

I mean, honestly, this month is ridiculous. I bet Mat is going to be smiling quite a bit as he looks over the numbers. Good attachment rate on stuff to consoles, with games and accessories, so even with all the crazy sales, there's lots moving.

Like I said, sales are obviously carrying on elsewhere. People jump to conclusions when stock is out at Amazon. Nothing has changed as far as PS4 slim's sales trajectory. And going by Abdiel and Benji, it's dominating everything else.

Formerly ilovegirls69  :(

I'm so happy to see Persona 5 selling more than Forza 7! And almost as good as Wolfenstein 2 and Shadow of War on PS4, that's quite impressive!

Yeah, even though Amazon has taken up more marketshare than it did 3 years ago, Best Buy and GameStop still make up a higher proportion of sales (I believe over half combined). As a result, Sony will prioritize Best Buy and GameStop over Amazon. I mean, Sony would be absolutely dumb to undersupply GameStop considering what GS is offering with the PS4.

That Benji guy described PS4 as "nuking everything from orbit". This is going to be epic.
