Ps4 plus has that #1 spot on lockdown. It's amazing how they can charge $40 just to play online and people lap it up. So much easy revenue. Just shows you how attractive psn is to the consumers.

I really rather not pay to play online, but there's no doubt PSN is huge for Sony. I mean it makes more money than all of Nintendo I believe.

I subbed to plus when it was optional because it's worth it for the games alone.

Anyway ps4 back #1. I'll say it again. Nothing can compete with ps4 @199

Make online multiplayer free again and watch how almost no one cares for PSN.

It’s been established already that PS+ accounts for a very small portion of the revenue. And you realise that it’s actually the other way round, right? People get PS+ because they care about PSN.

PS+ subscriptions would drop like a rock if Sony didn't lock multiplayer behind a paywall (I meant to say PS+ instead of PSN).

That's the only thing the vast majority of subscribers care about.

The PSN revenue comes from people buying games digitally. It would be pretty bad if taking a 30% cut on the output of the entire third party game industry didn't make a lot of revenue. People need to stop acting like it's just Sony being responsible for all that revenue. After all, I'm sure Apple makes more money off of their online shop than Nintendo + Sony and Microsoft's gaming division combined.

WOOOOW

That's really impressive when it's competition is a gift card!(I know that sounds like sarcasm but it's not)

So you’re saying the Switch isn’t competition?

Uhm... obviously not. Im saying lower price items usually sell more, which is why its impressive that the ps4 is selling more than a PS gift card when its barrier for entry is way higher and both old and new console users buy ps cards

A Switch with sufficient stock at $200 would blow the PS4 away at the same price point. So "nothing" is a bit of a stretch.

I never thought these type of beasts still existed in modern times. I assumed they were just myths passed down from generation to generation.

A PS4 at 150 would blow away everything so what’s your point?

Well, sure. But Switch isn't long enough in the tooth to get there yet, so, here we are.

I thought you hated Price Cuts. Werent you defending the fact that Nintendo games rarely have discounts?

If Nintendo at some point lower the price of the Switch to 200$, i want to see you Front Row complaining to Reggie and Co.

That it's not surprising that the most popular console of this generation sells a lot when it just received a 33% price cut. Not sure why anyone is acting surprised.
