Damn... I was expecting maybe 300k at retail and 50 k in downloads... but this way it might have doubled that. Absolutly stunning performance.

That's a much larger chunk of the Mario pie for Japan than i'd have assumed. SMO's success seems to be much more evenly distributed than either its predecessors or other Switch releases would have lead us to predict.

So happy to see Nintendo back in full force and with all guns blazing.

Super Mario: Odyssey
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
Splatoon 2

I believe we'll see Super Smash Bros and Donkey Kong in 2018.

Pokémon will be the game that'll make me buy a Switch (if I manage to wait that long).

What the flamio! And it doesn't include digital sales? So, SMO is the biggest launch for any 3D Mario game ever. And it's mind-boggling how much of a push this has been for hardware, even bigger than on Splatoon 2's launch week (98k I think).

Can't wait for the official Media Create numbers :)
