Per Nintendo's financial results briefing, Switch's userbase is predominantly males age 20-34. 

I think this probably has to be the oldest skewing Nintendo system out of the gate. 

Very interesting. I wonder if the results are slightly skewed because of who actually engaged in the poll (maybe that demographic is more likely to take part in Nintendo surveys)? I’m pretty sure the data was collected via a survey they sent to Nintendo account owners.

Expected, Nintendo's core fanbase is generally older, the people that grew up with the Snes etc. Kids these days play the Fifa's and the CoD's.

This is a very good sign, they might buy enough third party games to convince publishers to keep supporting the systems, signaling a return to the Nintendo golden age of strong first and third party support not seen since the Super Nes.

Good result. They can still target younger audience later, once they drop the price.

Well yes...its the Xbox who has the youngins. The average gamer is between the same ages in general too. Nintendo probably realized the gamers who were raised on their games are in this age group.

And they say Nintendo games are for kids.......

Im almost in that bracket. Currently 19
