I sold my PS4 a while back. Mostly due to financial reasons but the decision was easy because outside of Persona 5 and The Witcher 3, Gaming just wasn't doing it for me. Sony has somehow changed that. I am so hyped for video games. I truly thought I outgrew them. But what Sony is offering and able to nurture has me so impressed.

This conference was a perfect reason why I love Sony. It's why I love Sony and Despise Microsoft. Because for each risk Sony takes, MS takes a safe bet. Sony invests in themselves and their portfolio. While EA and Acitvision want to kill of Single Player Games in favour of GAAS and Multiplayer.

Sony is one of the few that are remaining committed to the best experience for a Gamer.

Thats right.

That's not correct. Sony is more than just games. It's not even their most profitable division.

Sony is more than just games, but when their company was about to turn to ashes, it was Playstation that helped save them. They took a huge hit for Blu Ray. In todays landscape Playstation is a key division for Sony. Playstation since day one has also influenced the sales of Sony's formats inside and outside of the gaming realm.

100 % yes, i think so too :)

For me it's not just Sony's output.

January alone is big for me,

NiNo Kuni II - NiNo Kuni I is spectacular. I wish I have the money to buy the CE.

MHW - I have played the MH on handhelds but I think this will be the first time I will play it extensively.
I saw the game on hand and I say I like it. The upgraded GFX is totally awesome. It's more open and the customization of the Character is top notch. Cannot wait to hunt.

Digimon Cyber Sleuth 2 is sugoi! Cyber Sleuth is already great. I have high hopes for the Sequel.

February

Shadow of Colossus - It's always a buy for me and the trailer. I am seeing is just an icing.

Then there's March one of my most anticipated games

Yakuza 6 - I love the freaking series. No other explanation needed.

First Party and 2nd party:

Detroit: Become human. I wasn't sold at first but the gameplay with Kara is so intense. I wish It's all about Kara TBH.

God of War - Not really a fan more of DMC guy but the gameplay is very solid now. I was sold with the combo of the shield and I hope you will have a lot of weapons not just Axe and Shield. I hope for certain creatures a specific weapons is effective.

Days Gone - I prefer it over Last of Us. Being more open is a plus. It means you have more freedom. I always dream of open world Zombie games with the likes of Days Gone. I hope they apply the State of Decay features like you build your own Camp and get supplies.

Concrete Genie - I love the art style. The type of game where I can enjoy with my GF. I show it to her and she loves it.

Ghost of Tsushima.

the january is really crazy, so many new amazing games. Dragon Ball Fighters Z coming too in this month : D

2018 will be the best Games Year ever < 3

Hello again,

I have a feeeeeling! Sony is going to push next year to the absolute  limit. Sucker Punch has finally revealed the last piece of the puzzle of expectation for the year. Hopefully it gets a release next year to complete the entire package. Dude...its never been a better time to be a gamer. OMG...the hype! We really need some gameplay of Ghosts of Tsushima. What are you hyped for next year? Is it Spiderman?  God of War, Days Gone or Detroit? Let me know how you feel!

Long live single player games!

Honestly, most don't particularly appeal to me, but I'm really looking forward to GoW 4. Perhaps when I look into that Detroit one more I'll like it, but it doesn't really seem like the kind of game I like.

Actually, Days Gone DOES look awesome, but I prefer my survival games to have some limited multiplayer; they're just way more fun with friends. If Days Gone winds up offering some co-op mode or something I'd be super psyched for it, but for now I've got other survival games to sink my time into.

I'm sure for most people it's definitely an awesome year, though! That'd be pretty impressive if Last of Us 2 also comes out next year.

*Edit* Actually I'm also looking forward to the remastered Shadows of the Colossus. Having looked into Ghosts of Tsushima, there's a pretty good chance I'll love that one too.

I got 2 Yakuza games this year. Persona 5 (GOTY), Horizon, Nioh, Nier, Uncharted. 2017 still better IMO.

But don't get me wrong. 2018 is also a great year and if we are talking primarily about 1st party. You can say it's best. :)

Don't forget Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 6 are likely 2018 releases too. My wallet is not ready for 2018. Neither is my schedule.

It's strange, I used to be really into God of War, but it's like the last few years I just completely lost interest in the franchise. Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima definitely look interesting though.

It does look very good, but 2013-2017 were kind of sub-par. That's not to say they didn't release good games in that time period, just not enough of them.

2014: The Last of Us: Remastered
2015: Bloodborne
2016: Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4
2017: Horizon: Zero Dawn

2018 looks like a strong year for the indie scene on PlayStation 4, OWLBOY, Celeste, The Gardens Between, Tunic (likely) and what slips from this year but on the major releases only Days Gone, Metro Exodus, Code Vein really stand out to me.

Next year will be the lowest ammount of games I've purchased in a year likely.

Guacamelee 2 and Spelunky 2 as well. Although I hope they're not console exclusives and release soon after the PS4 version on other consoles.
