Thats five years of development time like Horizon. Do you think Sucker Punch would need that much time? I would call late 2018. Four years seems fair and five years is the latest. I think Sony is saving 2019 to 2020 to Death Stranding and Last of Us.

No I wouldn't usually but, a CGI trailer doesn't give me much confidence of a 'next year' title. Maybe if it was a gameplay trailer.

That could be true. We must also remember that we have PSX in December and E3 coming up next year. Sony is going to top the year off with an unveiling for sure. Theres more gameplay that needs to be seen for a their games. I can understand your reservation though.

Spiderman looks too cutscene heavy and I'm not convinced it will be good.

God of War 4 is a wait and see

Detroit surprisingly looks promising, but again we'll have to see.

Days Gone's only thing going for it is it's destructable shit, I honestly don't think they've shown of the game in an appealing way so far ...

I was going to say Monster Hunter but that's on all three major platforms .... I am pretty hyped for Shadow of the Colossus though. If The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima release next year, then I think i'll agree with you that it's their best year.

I think spiderman will be fully interactive, but has parts that feature QTE's because of the complexity of playing as a modern Spiderman. Most of the stuff they've shown us is near to cutscenes, so I need to see some free roam. Perhaps at PSX. Can't wait for all of them. 2018 couldnt come soon enough!

Fully interactive but feature QTE's? I mean technically QTE's are "interactive" but in the context of what I was saying that sentence almost doesn't make sense.

I'm just more skepticle and pessimistic about games. Generally I don't "get hyped" for games. Even stuff like Odyssey had me at a semi-hyped level. So stuff like Spiderman, which is based around a character I don't have a bias towards in the first place, just looks kind of unimpressive. I loved the Batman Arkham games though, and hopefully Spiderman can get me to purchase it.

For me it's not just Sony's output.

January alone is big for me,

NiNo Kuni II - NiNo Kuni I is spectacular. I wish I have the money to buy the CE.

MHW - I have played the MH on handhelds but I think this will be the first time I will play it extensively.
I saw the game on hand and I say I like it. The upgraded GFX is totally awesome. It's more open and the customization of the Character is top notch. Cannot wait to hunt.

Digimon Cyber Sleuth 2 is sugoi! Cyber Sleuth is already great. I have high hopes for the Sequel.

February

Shadow of Colossus - It's always a buy for me and the trailer. I am seeing is just an icing.

Then there's March one of my most anticipated games

Yakuza 6 - I love the freaking series. No other explanation needed.

First Party and 2nd party:

Detroit: Become human. I wasn't sold at first but the gameplay with Kara is so intense. I wish It's all about Kara TBH.

God of War - Not really a fan more of DMC guy but the gameplay is very solid now. I was sold with the combo of the shield and I hope you will have a lot of weapons not just Axe and Shield. I hope for certain creatures a specific weapons is effective.

Days Gone - I prefer it over Last of Us. Being more open is a plus. It means you have more freedom. I always dream of open world Zombie games with the likes of Days Gone. I hope they apply the State of Decay features like you build your own Camp and get supplies.

Concrete Genie - I love the art style. The type of game where I can enjoy with my GF. I show it to her and she loves it.

Ghost of Tsushima. I hope it will be release in 2018 but it seems unlikely. I think it will be in early 2019. Last of Us being a fall release.

If all the games are indeed released in 2015 it will be by far thier best year

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

I’m excited for pretty much everything.

From god of war to Spider-Man to shadow of the colossus to ghost of Tsushima. I want it all!

I'm really excited for Kingdom Hearts III, Dragon Quest XI and Ni no Kuni II. Not very interested in Sony's first party stuff, though.

its not a pre rendered CGI but inengine footage. they did the same with SS, techinically this is the third outing on this engine for Sucker Punch , so a 2018 release could be possible for a new IP with 4 years of development as i remember two years back yoshida mentioned that he already had played sucker punch new game, also i have no doubt in SP ability to deliver on gameplay mechanics and open world.. IMO they are by far the best sony studio in terms of gameplay mechanics even better than ND and GG.

But it remains to be seen how 2018 pans out if it gets too crowded sony will push to game in early 2019 to evenly spread out the games for that year

2018
god of war
ni no kuni 2
SoTC
detroit
Days Gone
spiderman
and bunch of Cool looking VR titles

2019

ghost of tsushima
The last of US 2
dreams
another iteration of GTSports
death Stranding (highly unlikely)

2018 is for me the year of gaming
