Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kimishima: More ways to have fun with Switch to be announced in 2018

Virtual Boy 2 confirmed?

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima shared a cryptic Switch-related tease as part of the company’s financial results today. According to Kimishima, there will be more ways to have fun with Switch, with details to be announced next year.

Nintendo often holds Nintendo Directs towards the start of a new year to outline what’s to come. A presentation in January may not be out of the question

3, 4, Switch confirmed!!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Virtual console when? After Mario, we're in need of a Direct.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Lol of course

Or they mean they can get another 97 meta game again xD

Pocky Lover Boy!

This definitely sounds like some kind of addon.

Switch VR is almost kinda semi-confirmed the way they have been talking about VR lately, so that's likely happening.

Plus a VR mode was already discovered embedded within the Switch's OS:

That Metroid Prime 4 = VR guess might not be so far fetched.

Finally Switch sized condoms.

Nah, not happening. They are certainly experementing with VR, and that probably includes the Switch, but they are that:experiments. They are learning stuff for the next generation.

What I think he means here is that the Switch will be getting new types of acessories, like the one in the reveal trailer in which they use to hold the Switch in the car.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I think you will see it on the current Switch. Nintendo is developing for VR either way, I believe it's already being used in their Universal theme park attractions that they are designing. But it being in the Switch OS itself is pretty much a smoking gun.

I'm thinking about apps like Youtube and Netflix. With 'more ways to have fun' he might be talking about non-gaming stuff.
