Also, Switch software sales are at 27 Million, and I doubt there's 50% digital sales (VGC has Switch software at 13.3M)

Wow! That sounds a lot.

I am very surprised with Splatoon 2. Only a couple numbers away from the Big 2 (Zelda and MK).

10mil+  for Switch Should be locked for the end of the year.

Well there are certainly a lot of Indies in that mix, but I don't think they sold over 10M of them yet.

10M is lowballing, they would have to ship less than that quarter to achieve that already. 13-15M seems more like it for the first 52 Weeks. And yeah, this could mean it would outsell Wii U total sales in it's first year and possibly sell better as PS4 and 3DS's first year.

Holy crap, 7.6 already?I honestly thought that it would be around 6.7,6.8 by now!
Zelda is also a monster. With the Wii U version, it should have sold more than 6 millions by now!.And Splaroon is also dedtroying.Just a bit more than 1 million to catch up with the forst one, and its been only a bit more than 2 months since it launched.

Almost correct, you just needed to Switch those numbers around

How do their profits compare to last year and out of interest how do they compare to Sony's?

Poor arms, and no mario + rabbids :(

So according to past Nintendo reports, the 3ds sold 8.36 million units from October-December 2011. What are we expecting for switch?

To outsell Wii u LTD it needs to sell 5.93 million these three months which is doable, no?

Poor Arms?  I think it's done pretty well considering it's genre and launch date as well as its status as a new IP.

Also, Arms and Breath of the Wild are substantially undertracked here, I'm *stunned*!

...said no one ever :P

Edit:  Ok Arms isn't substantially undertracked, but it is still looking to be undertracked by about 100k or so?  So still, called it

Gross Profit from April - September 2016 was 61,580 million yen ($541.87 million)
Gross Profit from April - Septebmer 2017 is 143,716 million yen (~$1.264 billion)

Operating Profit from April - September 2016: -5,947 million yen (loss of $52.33 million)
Operating Profit from April - September 2017: 39,961 million yen (profit of $351.63 million)

Basically, they doubled or tripled what they did last year in most areas.

Don't know about Sony though.

Great numbers for almost everything!
The Switch is higher than I thought, clearing the 7.5 mark already. They should ship at least double of what they shipped this quarter for the Holydays, so around 6m especially with Mario Odysseys launch and the bundle.

I wonder how the regional split is. We know it sold around 2m in japan, so there's 5.6m to go to NA, EU and ROW.
If I had to guess I'd say around 2m for EU, 3.8 NA and 800k ROW.

Zelda and MK8D are just beasts and deservedly so. Splatoon is heavily undertracked on VGC as is Switch software in general.

ARMS doesn't seem to have the best legs, but it did well enough.
I'd have liked to have seen Mario+Rabbits numbers, but maybe that's for ubi to decide.

Are those billion yen? Otherwise the conversion to $ makes no sense.

It has $ on them so I think they are already in $.

I hope ARMS can get a second wind this holiday. Its a success so far, but if it can at least hit 1.5-2 million, it would be even better for the Mario Kart team (or at least director Yabuki, who produced ARMS and directed the latest Mario Kart games). The Animal Crossing team already has two successes with both AC and Splatoon so it would be nice if ARMS can be that second franchise for the Mario Kart team.

Otherwise, Splatoon 2 appears to be outpacing the original (if I see it correctly) heading into the holiday season, Zelda is conitnuing to do well months after the initial hype, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is doing very well, and the Switch overall is doing very well and has great momentum heading into the holidays. Now with Mario Odyssey at the helm, the Switch is primed for a really good first year holiday.

Sorry I meant more about this quarter sales for arms specifically. It vastly surpassed my expectations for the last report (1.18 million), but it’s only grown to 1.35 in 3 months meaning only around 170k were sold this quarter (unless my maths is wrong). Overall I didn’t even expect it to reach 1 million so it’s done pretty well imo but the legs don’t look great.
