Yeah, I have no idea what he's talking about. Calling someone a nigger doesn't get you arrested. Maybe people are just upset that they can't be racist without getting backlash for it these days, so they have to act like their rights are being taken away.

By the way the use of this word is avoided it seems that using it can be qualified as racial offense. I don`t have a problem with a word being so offensive it makes it users somehow criminally accountable, but this word is EVERYWHERE in mainstream media and still offensive.

Offensive and commonplace aren't mutually exclusive.

It kind should be when Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar use it on their songs and they are louded as virtuose lyricists and average Joe cant use it even if he does whitout malicious intention.

Well just think of it as any other swear word. There are lots of words that are forbidden, frowned upon, not just the N word.

this word can put a person in jail

Where do you live??? Never heard anyone even getting arrested for saying it.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

It's not forbidden. I use it sometimes when I'm around my friends.

I made a assumption based on the brazillian reality where racial injury is heavily criminilized, calling someone the word Preto or any racial reference for that matter unless in very specific contexts can get you arrested. People around here use every kind of rhetorical resource to not use Preto or Negro that actually are the official words to describing black people.

Its not forbidden.........just hope you aren't white or Asian saying it cause it automatically makes you racist. If you're black and Hispanic apaprently you can say it all you want lol the word brings more hypocrisy than any other word. Its also has been one of the most diluted words today

I’m much more baffled by the hazzle around the F word actually, or other swear words. At least those have no discriminating history.
