Forums - Movies & TV - Thor Ragnarok was amazing.

This is coming from a guy who hates super hero movies. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's Guardians of the Galaxy level fun :P

Who else has seen it.

Plan to, not sure if I'll see it in theaters or wait for it to go up on amazon or something though. Read that it's focused around fun, humor, and action (a bit like Guardians of the Galaxy), which it seems like the Marvel franchise needs to break up the high-stakes drama of their Avengers movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy was ok I suppose. I’m going in expecting some chuckles and good action. Will be watching it Saturday.

Well I don't mean to suggest that they're very similar movies, only that it's a Marvel movie more focused on humor and action.

I plan to see it eventually, probably when it comes out on blu-ray.

It doesn't release in the United States for another week or so. Will see it eventually.

Isn’t that all Marvel movies? :D

Well yes, one of the reasons I actually like Marvel movies is that they've maintained all the color and spirit of the comics while including plenty of humor and not taking themselves too seriously (if this sounds like a not-so-subtle jab of frustration at DC, it is).

Mainly though, the Avengers movies (and Civil War) have been more and more drama-focused, so it's nice to get back to the fun and humor on occasion. There's room for both and I'm glad they have both.

It hasn't been released yet in the US, so I haven't seen it yet. I do fully intend to though. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. The trailer has had me hyped for a while now.
