You can finish Breath of the Wild in an hour. However, I'm currently over 90 hours in that game, I'm enjoying it a lot, and I'm still not even at the half of the game. What makes you think Mario Odyssey will be different?

Stop being cocky. There're were poeple who tried to defend The Order 1886's lenght by saying that you can play it on the highest difficulty or collect photos  but I didn't change the fact that the game can be objectively called short.

cmon, man.

I'm not sure if I agree with the reasons, but at least I agree with the premise: BotW will win over SMO.

I feel it's hard to say... Either way, it's so strange to see two Nintendo games duke it out for GOTY. I don't remember the last time that happened.

I have a feeling Mario might win GOTY due to it's more accessible gameplay. Meaning it might win because more people could enjoy it. I feel BOTW can be a little too hard for some gamers, so maybe gaming websites / news sources have more to gain from naming Mario GOTY?

I'm just happy I have two games to play and love. I'm guessing it'll be hard for me to choose one over the other. In some way, I will just be happy that both exist.

I really don't think Nintendo cares either way. :P

So after watching snippets of leaked footage (some have beaten the game already but I won't spoil you the ending) I can safely say that the new Mario game can be described as lazy in many regards.

1. Some kingdoms look flat, empty and simplistic. It seems like Nintendo showed only their best kingdoms to the public because the game has a kingdom that is only one color (stage and background) + some clouds to jump on. A heavy downgrade in comparision to Galaxy which was incredibly detailed.

2. The leves are smaller than expected. Particullary the stage with the dinosaur is very small and defeats the purpose of this beast because you're going to use it for less than a minute. There's a kingdom that has 0 interactivity and you can beat it in a couple of minutes.

Not all its worlds are created equally. Some are unforgettable roller coasters while a couple settle for just plain old 'good enough', but there’s at least something interesting to be found in every single one. It’s a credit to Nintendo that even its worst worlds are a cut above many other games like it.

I hope so. There is so much love in that game. BotW is just perfect.
