You think Mario will be too short if you go straight for the "thank you for playing"?

You do realize that BotW using the same tactic can be completed without beating any of the four dungeons in the game right?

 By 1st playthrough, you mean going straight to the final boss and skipping ALL of the other content in the game, including additional content that unlocks after beating the final boss.    Most people who play Super Mario Odyssey aren't going to go straight to the final boss and consider the game done and be ignorant of all the other places there are yet to go to in the game.  If you want to skip content and call a game short because of things you are purposely ignoring, then whatever floats your boat.

1st Ending

From my experience it takes roughly 9-10 hours to reach and beat the final BOSS and unlock the 1st ending. This is based on an average players skill.

Players only need to collect approximately 120 Power Moons to complete the story.

I would expect that experienced Mario players could knock that time down to 7-8 hours and speedrunners could take that down even further.

100% Completion

The estimates above only count the time taken to reach the 1st ending and do not consider the end-game content or 100% completion. Unlocking the secret kingdoms by collecting the milestone 250 and 500 Power Moons will take you considerably longer

In my experience again, it can take at least 30 hours to hunt down and collect all 800+ Power Moons to reach the 100% achievement. This includes beating the BOSS rematches and conquering the "Champions Road" challenge.

Choosing to go after the remaining moons opens up a tonne of new content that allows you to enjoy the full experience of Mario Odyssey. I strongly recommend that everyone venture down this path after beating the story.

The problem with this is that it sounds like you're speaking about a linier title. Nobody says the first play through of an open world game is such and such number of hours.  What you're speaking about is a minumum main story run. I doubt the game restarts after the main story completes as your statement implies.

Obviously you were wrong about everything you wrote, nobody really wrote that "kingdoms look flat, empty and simplistic", that "The leves are smaller than expected" and that "THE GAME IS SHORT".

Its actually only 422 minutes until hes through the game.

So he beat it in 7hours.

It kinda sucks its that short.

The real game then would be to 100% it, and putin those 30hours.

Mario Galaxy 2 was like 14hours to beat? so this is like half that length.
