Just go to Sony.
I find it suprising that neither microsoft or sony have snagged this. well whichever 3rd party ends up publishing it hopefully it will be multiplatform.
So did it really made more sense to retain the IP for a series that no one is funding instead of having Sony supporting you?

Maybe Sony can jump on this, Insomniac owns the IP and they could port SO to PS4 and develop SO2.
Hope MS secures it.

One of 3 games I would love to get an Xbox One before aside from Halo and Gears of War, hope this can go multiplat.
Bandorr said: How does "IP control" work? Can a company (insomniac) own an IP (SSO), yet have the publisher(Microsoft) determine where the game (SSO 1) goes? IE can insomniac actually put SSO 1 on PC or ps4? |
From what was told at the time... SSO1 can only be on X1, but sequels could go anywhere.

Nintendo should absolutely pull a Bayonetta 2 here. They just talked about wanting more "mature" titles, and I feel like sunset overdrive would feel right at home as a "mature" Nintendo offering. The colorful palette and emphasis on fun factor of the first title is perfect for Nintendo.
I had the opportunity of trying the game before, and I really enjoyed my time with it. It was fun, colorful and the gameplay was pretty solid. Honestly, that was probably my favourite MS exclusive I've played (not a fan of GoW and Halo games). I'm sad that the game wasn't sucessful, I hope that they can find some other publisher.
