bring back the Ice Climbers! they're a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e. And I think Nintendo could easily think of a creative type of game to use them in. Make a new platformer with some funny mechanic. Hell maybe even an adventure game with the Ice Climber as the main character and their main attacks being similar to that of Melee (shooting ice blocks or something).

As far as reconigition I think Ice Climbers are well known enough to give them another chance, and as much of a pain in the ass as the NES game is, I actually don't mind it.

One Off is tough though.

Most of the Nintendo series that people seem to want to see come back have more than one installment already (F Zero, Punchout, Excitebike, Wave Race, Star Tropics)

Ice Climbers, I think would be perfect as an endless up and down platforming mobile game. As for on dedicated systems... eh, beats me.

good thinking, a new version of the NES Ice Climbers style game could be stellar on mobile

Pokemon Snap.

Of course, Pokemon Snap could really be a great mobile game in the same vein as Pokemon Go as well... I'd honestly enjoy trying to find cool scenes and stuff to snap a picture of more than what Go is offering, though I realize I'm in the minority there.

A fun Pokemon Snap game, though, with giant environments and such, would be a lot of fun.

Super Paper Mario.

Criminally underrated game.

There should have been a Duck Hunt on the Wii. There was a similar minigame in Wii Play, but it just wasn't the same.

I know it wasn't, but they own the IP.

But the company released games on PS3, PC, 360... they were basically contracted to release one game on Gamecube and one port of MGS. Eternal Darkness is no more a Nintendo title than Resident Evil remake as far as who had a finger in it's existance.

The only second party games I'd budge on are Retro and Rare games because Nintendo actually had their own guys working side-by-side on them.

Diddy Kong Racing is probably the strongest one-off.

But Nintendo owns the IP. Nintendo also keeps renewing the trademark. Doesn't matter who developed it. Nintendo can ask whoever they want to make a new one. Microst owns Lost Odyssey even tho Mistwalke developed it. There is a lot of Treasure developed IPs SEGA owns. Just because a 3rd party develops a new IP does not mean that 3rd party will own it. It's not uncomon for the publisher to own the IP rights and in the case of Eternal Darkness. Nintendo owns it.
