Thats even more reason not to join, to be honest fuck the likes of shinobi etc, when gaf gave him a platform for his attention seeking and get followers with the leaks he got from there he never complained, but after he tried to do damage control for gaming companys like bioware and bethesda and got called out he bitched and left with his tail behind his legs. Trying to do damage control on the turd mass effect andromeda because he got it free and have firends there, he is basicly a PR idiot for some companys  He is one of the rats that got happy with all this because he saw one oportunity, they all want to be the new Evilore and travel the world 250 days a year.

I am gona stick with vgchartz for now.

Or the new ioi!  anybody would live a comfy life with the money this site roles in. 

 

Anyway excellent post.. This is just classic power struggle politics.  They see an opportunity and they are trying to sieze it.

Site is coming along nicely, now. Wouldn't be surprised if it became the more active forum in the long run. Are you guys going to register, have you?

One of Gaf's biggest criticisms was that it was a toxic hivemind, after GAF came back online and Evilore removed the politics section, it pissed off the vocal minority that caused GAF to be a hivemind in the first place, resetera seems to be comprised primarilly of those individuals.

Thus, and in combination with the more stringent registration rules, the result is going to be an even more concentrated hivemind, how anyone can consider that a good thing is beyond me.

The way a great many of them suicided their accounts on GAF after it came back up is more an illustration of the type of people they are when they're not putting on the puritan holier-than-thou act, namely posting extreme porn, goatse and worse.

I can understand. It still doesn't take likely to dissenting opinions and has the same far left, partisan groups of people back on the old one. However, as someone who's not into politics that much, the frequency of posts on that forum is really impressive. I've never used a message boards with this much traffic. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for it and for GAF.

We know the number of accounts, but as for actual members it's hard to tell because of all of the alts and bots.
