I think they should rename the brand to Xion or leave out the numbers in the xbox names unless it's to show them in a chronological order.

If this is essentially the last console for MS and only given incremental upgrades like the X1X, then I think the name makes sense.

Well. It *would* have been a terrible name for the Xbox One's hardware itself. It would be labelled the "Xbox 720P" console. Haha
But it would have signalled that it is a clear successor to the 360.

Infinite just sounds tacky, especially with the Xbox One's inferior hardware capabilities relative to the competition.

But the XBox One isn't a terrible name either. They didn't want to name it the Xbox 3 because it looks bad next to the Playstation 4 and I understand that, I think in the end the name isn't what caused the XBox One to fail, but it was everything around it. Luckely we punished this bad behaviour bad and now its actually quite a nice platform :)

I wonder what the next name will be in the xbox console brand!!

I remember when people made fun of the name "Dreamcast" just like they made fun of the name "Wii". Times have changed.

I remember before the Xbox One was announced there was a rumor it'd be called Xbox 8 to go along with Windows 8. I thought this was a pretty neat idea, although I imagine a lot of people wouldn't have made the connection & we'd still end up with the "lulz MS can't count!!1!" situation. I don't dislike the name Xbox One though.
