Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One X getting more support from devs than PS4 Pro?

Colt Eastwood breaks down why it seems like developers are giving Xbox One X more support than PS4 Pro.

I had no idea that Xbox One X already had so many games confirmed to be Native 4K or getting Enhanced.

What do you think?

Oh Jesus, Colt Eastwood, one of the worst of those Youtube Xbox guys. Rand Al Thor is okay, I suppose, but the rest are cringe-inducingly fanboyish. In truth, most of the games getting X support are the same ones that got Pro support, look at the overlap. And the currently supported Pro games currently outnumber the announced X games by a good amount. It is true that the X out of the gate has more support, but those are a lot of the Pro games that devs already upgraded and are only fairly upgrading for the new system as well.

Yeah, I've seen some of hs videos before. He is a little fanboyish but he actually gives some props to the Ps4 pro in this video. His info seems on point too.

Simply put, he's not wrong. Devs do seem to be supporting the Xbox One X better than the PS4 Pro.

Xbox one x is getting more support than ps4 pro, and get the ps4 has way more games, how does that work?

As for comparing those lists, ones from July and only includes games that were out at the time,  where as the other includes all, including games that are way, way off from being out, such as anthem.

"Colt Eastwood"

The same guy that did a chart comparing Xbox One and PS4 exclusives in the first two years, who purposely went out of his way to exclude Bloodborne, and included The Master Chief Collection but not The Last of Us Remastered and The Nathan Drake Collection?

Lol.

Colt Eastwood is one of those people who just tries to hide the fanboyism behind the occasional "fair" complement to the competitor. He's not fair and balanced, he's just a fanboy who hides it well. It's like those channels that make a "Top 10 things better about PC gaming" and then do a "Top 10 things worse about PC gaming" video where half the things are misinformation or myths, but then hide behind the "Oh but I played on PC once!" fallacy.

That being said, this video isn't necessarily wrong.

Also, his fucking acoustic intro is cringy as fuck and doesn't work with the videos at all.

Yeah... i dunno. At worse they would be getting equal support. But as other have pointed out, theres more games on the PS4 than X1, so naturally, there are more that support the pro.

Didn't both Sony and MS say that 3rd party games had to playable on both their machines? If yes, than Sony would have better overall support because of 1st party titles.

Isnt' this one CrapGamer's crew lol?

It just doesn't make sense from a business standpoint, so I'm calling shenanigans.

The actual number of pro enhanced games is higher than that list shows. It's a good list but is also fairly old. The best list of pro enhancements was, unfortunately, on Neogaf, run by a member named Liabe Brave. Since that cannot be accessed at the moment, I can't bring it up. It's a good deal more than the X has announced, however.

I do not doubt, though, that the X is likely easier to code for, since the uwp allows them to basically port the PC version. So I wouldn't be surprised if the gap between some games is larger than it should be (Elite Dangerous, for example).
