I'll continue to call it soccer.

Haha i was only joking. It is odd though how USA takes two sports both older then USA ( Rugby and football) and totally renames them whilst adding in loads off protective clothing and helmets and all sorts.....😂😂😂

The reason why there is more than one sport named football is because at one point there was no coded game. American football, rugby, association football, Gaelic football and Australian rules football are all believed to have evolved from a common ancestor (much like species or languages).

Double posted by accident.

Club footy over international every day of the week.

FIFA World Cup hands down. Been watching those since '94. Quality of football is better in CL of course and I love it, but WC is much more exciting because it's played once every four years. Unfortunately I think Finland will never qualify for World Cup :P

The football played in our league is so awful that I only care about our national team, that doesn't exactly play quality football either but at least can compete in tournaments where other teams do it, Fifa World Cup gets my vote.

Gotta be the world cup, always.

Now I'm just happy I live in a world where I get both

I actually thought you didn't like international football because you don't post very often during the international breaks.

International break is a necessary evil.

I do enjoy watching the USA do well but we all know what happened. I like in England so I watch them too but they play so badly it's almost pointless.

But overall I love the feel and passion of the world cup from everyone, it's on a completely different level than any club competition, plus I really wanna see how Iceland do, after the portugal game in the group stages I got really into them and was rooting for them against England which turned out well ;)

Champions League. Once a year > once every 4 years.

Plus there's better teams involved in it.

What I think is the early stages in the World Cup are better than the Champions League but the later stages in the Champions League are better. I think Greece eliminating Spain is more likely than Olympiakos eliminating Real Madrid and there's more parity than the CL group stage. But in the later rounds I can agree the CL has the higher quality teams.

I really dont like Champions League at all, it is just about money, a few rich teams always win. I'd say it's the biggest club tournament regarding money, but not quality (there are some incredibly good teams, but most are just average or bad and it is really unbalanced). Also, there should be some kind of rule about the number of foreingners in a team, it is awful to watch a game between, for example, Real Madrid and Bayern where there are more south americans than germans or spanishes. The World Cup may be unbalanced too, but at least players are representing their country and there is a different feeling.

Unfortunately it seems that the Brazilian Championship is going to the same place with some clubs getting way richer than the rest, but I hope it never happens.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against foreingners in my team (Guerrero is from Peru and is my favorite player in a Brazilian club), just saying that I consider sports are something cultural and there must have at least some identity between the club and its country and fans.

Football's the only sport I know where the international version has more parity than the club version, no team winning the World Cup next year would be as surprising as Leicester City winning the Champions League.

Leicester City winning the Champions League whould be freaking cool, but we all know that Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid or PSG will most likely win 9 of the 10 next editions unless there is another billionaire Arabic dude willing to make another PSG.

About the World Cup, even the qualifiers already have some awesome moments, like seeing Iceland and their fans (just like what happened during EuroCup) and Siria, that had a few nice moments with its team even though the country is in a war.
