Also I so badly want to bump this thread as well to celebrate the anniversery.

I was very hyped from the first trailer to the moment I got my hands on it at launch and I have not been disappointed. I was confident enough that it would be a hot ticket item that I made sure to get a pre-order in prior to launch, which isn't something I normally do with consoles.

When's I saw that this new system was very easily able to be picked up and played anywhere on the go. I thought there would be some sort of catch, like only certain games working in portable mode and vice versa...... but I was glad to be proven totally wrong. Now Nintendo is back in full force, which is good to see.

I'm still not really sold on the hardware itself, and I'd still stand by the things about it I found questionable back then, but of course it's actually about the games. And because Breath of the Wild came out on WiiU, I don't have a Switch yet, but with Mario Odyssey, although I'm again not as confident as I once was about other things they made in the past, they did make the Mario game I've been wanting since Mario 64. So maybe I shouldn't whine, Mario Odyssey could be the game, even if not right away, that makes me get a Switch.

Glad he managed to so successfully once again put Nintendo back onto it's feet.

My reaction was like oh so this is the hybrid, but they’ve done it in one device rather than a dock that acts like a separate console and tablet controller that also acts as a handheld which is what I was expecting at the time. Thinking that would be more successful, as well as both combining and refreshing both their home and handheld console lines.

My expectation after seeing the revel video and the first stuff we heard about the switch was this would be a moderately successful console selling 40-50mil lifetime. Since it’s still a hybrid and appears to have Skyrim on their which signals that Nintendo must have consulted with the third parts during this things development and are finally trying to get them more on-board than with the Wii u.

Off course they’ve proved me wrong since that original reveal and the days before the launch and now look to be far more successful than my initial expectations of the system.

I remember thinking that was a great idea and then seeing a lot of negativity out there and don't quite get it.I was also happy for the reveal of cartridges,load times were getting ridiculous in the ps4/xbone/wiiu era.

Back then I thought it was stupid but a year later I'm still single and not popular, now I realize that I was the stupid one.
