I'm not sure. But we should not lift any at all. In fact more should honestly be placed.

I don't see what more sanctions would do, Crimea is still firmly in their hands, and I don't see that changing.

It should be taken by force. And if they oppose, stop all trade with Russia. Have allies who can afford to, to stop all trade with Russia. Have it fall into poverty. And when it is weak, strike it down like we should have back nearly 30 years ago

Take Crimea by force? While the referendum may have been rigged, I still think that the majority of Crimeans want to be a part of Russia. It seems pointless going to war with a nuclear power to force people to be in a country that they don't want to.

Highly doubt the majority of Crimeans want to be back under Ukraine control and even if they do forcing it won't do anyone any favors other than just rattling further animosity between Russia and UN. We don't need a scenario in the 21st century where a weak and desperate country strikes its neighbors militarily with pure malevolence...

I'd like to see how Fox News spins Trump's speech in China where he basically sucks China's dick and blames all faults on previous US administrations.

They wont use nuclear force just because of Crimea. They're smarter than that. They'll be pissed and retaliate. But a nuclear war would not be fought because of Crimea.

The point isn't to reunite them, perse. But display power to the Russians that we won't sit down and do nothing. For years and years they've been agitating the US to prove a point. That the US won't do anything. They've been pushing and pushing, doing worse and worse. The US's answer is sanctions. Which aren't deterring them. The reason they had the balls to even attempt to influence a US election is because they know the Americans wont do anything. And they're correct.

So, you want to escalate a war in which many people will die, to prove a point?

People are going to die from a war between the US and Russia no matter what

Yeah, so how about we prevent war in the first place?

Kill Putin. He's running a country dependent on his leadership. He didn't build a strong gov like the Soviets before him. If hes gone then the threat is neutralized, for now

Putin may have a lot of power, but I highly doubt that there aren't plans in place in case something does happen to him.
