Gran Turismo, The Last Of Us, and Uncharted definitely don't agree. In fact, this is why Nintendo and Sony platforms are valued so much around the world. People know they can turn to them for specific experiences.

Xbox needs to follow suit.

I think we can officially suspend GT for the foreseeable future.

Let's do that after it fails to sell and move consoles. So far racers seem fine, let's see mass market reaction to all changes and how long it will take and if PD knows how to do PR and change management.

Do any of you guys realize that Shannon Loftis is a woman? The only person who notice this was Hudsoniscool, Jeez it's as if people can't think straight when all they care about is trying to bash MS.

Anyway I believe this year could've been better but it is for what it is.

Rafie says: "If she doesn't, she will be fired"

Godbless says: "She then talks only about Holiday 2017...."

Stage says: "Haha.... she knows dead rising 4 will be on the ps4"

DonFerrai says: "She really seems confused after so much spin." AND "if we count all 4 as she propose"

Azuren says: "Someone should explain to her"

KiigelHeart says "I'm not really a fan of her PR"

So.. try that again?

Mom, I'm in the printscreen =]

Perhaps he should have said "Exclusives that people care about are what makes consoles different than PCs."

Are you suggesting that no one cares about StarCitizen? That the 160~ million dollars that has been raised from the PC community amounts to absolutely nothing? There are great exclusives on PC. If you don't like them... Fair enough. - But don't pretend they are shit as you would be highly mistaken, it's just your personal taste differs from what is on offer... Or you just lack taste. Either/or. Just remember... We are the PC Gaming Master Race, we collectively stand above all others. ;)

There's just not alot of exclusives on pc that gamers/normies care about in comparison to how many exclusives that are on pc. It has alot of shovelware but that's mainly  because anyone can make a game with no standard of quality and put it out on it. I'm not saying it doesn't have any massive hits or good games. It has alot of those but it also has a shit ton of shovelware.

Yes, the PC gaming market is growing even if the general market is shrinking, that's a trend we are seeing for a few years. I didn't mean it as saying that the PC market is decreasing, just saying that the amount of people with a regular PC is way higher than ones with gaming PCs. So, in the case of Cuphead, you can play it with zero investment on hardware, while something like Gear would demand some cash.

A X1 or PS4 right now is 250 bucks, with a game and controller. Probably even 200 in deals during the Holidays. That's still 3 times less than a 600 bucks PC that won't really max everything up. And also mind that you have options like the 500 dollar X1X that run games on good settings and 4K.

What I mean is: if you want to play GoW and doesn`t have a gaming PC, you have to either get one (600 bucks) or buy an Xbox (200). If you want to play Cuphead, you can use your laptop so the cost is zero. In that sense, it isn't motivating you to buy an X1, unless you don't have any kind of computer in your house (unlikely).

I think I saw somewhere that Cuphead has sold so far better on the PC than on Xbox.  This supports your argument.

I wouldn't say "far better", but the PC version is taking up the majority of sales. When Cuphead hit 1 million, Steamspy had the Steam version at 576K sales. You can also get the PC version from GOG.

Yeah, I counted at least 4 posts prior to Huds that include the correct pronoun. :P

Does using "they" count as the correct pronoun?

I didn't.  I said "so far" not "far better."  But I did say "...sold so far better..." which meant "...Cuphead has so far sold better" but could have been mistakenly interpreted as "sold oh-so-far better."  So hopefully, I've better clarified myself... so far.

Nope because you can take "he" from they but not "she"

The real reason you wouldnt want to play GOW on PC is player population because its an xbox centric franchise

The game didnt get its first cross platform playlist till christmas and it was for a limited time.

Im pretty sure there wasnt cross platform , at least not significantly, for the montjs i played it (release to feb 2017)

I remember because i was on thr GOW forums and PC users kept asking when cross platform would truely ne implemented. Some even asked for refunds

Edit: Looks like I was a weak off

I would say that they are important even for Nintendo. Since they lost the 3rd party support that fuelled the NES and SNES, they had a lot of rough generations. Their road has been more bumpy than for Sony and MS. When Sony and MS screw up they still sell some respectable numbers, while it seems like Nintendo's screw ups cost them much more. Thirdy parties are really the blood of the industry.

I think exclusives matter to just influence you a bit. A X1 and a PS4 are quite similar consoles and the price is almost the same. In that situation, you will probably think "well, there are more games on PS4 that I can't play on the X1". Of course, a X1 priced lower would get a boost, but anyway it means that in a situation where price is simlar Sony would win by having exclusives.

I believe he's saying that exclusives only matter if you're Nintendo (based on sales numbers).

It is a touchy subject but it is hard to deny it, Switch total software sales are dominated by it's first party titles something you can't say about PS4 or Xbox one.  I think it is pretty rare that someone got a Switch but not a first party title with it while it is more common for people who buy a PS4 and certainly for Xbox one. PS4 and Xbox one sell because of third party and for the last one especially. The xbox one may sell 50-80 million games this year but less than 10% of those sales will be for first party games and I even believe that xbox one will sell more hardware this year than all of their first party game sales this year (someone may do the math) only if you include minecraft I will be totally wrong.
