The UI on the pro isnt slower than the original. They both the same and the black screen happens to both frequently as well.

I''ve owned all three versions of the PS4 and only the Pro has had these issues.

Weird cause the black screen appeared on my original ps4 very often then i bought the pro 2 weeks ago and it also does the same

Around the Network

I have only had the blackout happen when using the PSVR breakout box.

Ever since 5.0 I have been having issues with internet connection. All three of my PS4's take minutes to make a connection, both wired and via wifi. My 2 wifi PS4's drop connection every 15 - 20min. Tried a different modem, but no change in results. My PS Vita's, and my room mates iPhone and XBO have no issues, so I think 5.0 messed up some network code.

I hope we get 5.01 to sort this out. WWE Network has become almost unwatchable with the connection dropping all the time.

I had the pro freeze on me while using the store (preview videos) with a game and netflix suspended in the background. I also had the random blackouts with psvr yet those have been gone since an update a few months ago. They used to happen once or twice a little while after starting the console yet I haven't had any issues with psvr for a long time now.

Blinking rapidly suggest some kind of hdmi problem. Try a different cable maybe, different hdmi port on the tv.

Happened to different tvs and cables on my case (sure I didn't run it like an experiment), but I think it's something on the PS4Pro HW itself... sometimes I even question myself if it's showing the Pro version of the game or not, but since it says it's running HDR and hi-res I believe.

This problem specifically has never happened to me, but since the latest firmware update, when I put my console into sleep mode, there's a chance I'll need to do a hard reset to get it to turn back on, I wonder if these are widespread things?

Mine occur since the FW I got it with around April; from the searches I done it seems PS4Pro have quite some different issues.

Yep internet have become very bad lately... some games keep asking for PSN that seems to loss connection from nowhere.

I haven't had any issues with the UI, but if you have another device connected that uses HDCP, it'll cause a black out if the device auto updates. Seems to only happen on 4K sets though.

Also you should delete messages and cache in your web browser frequently if you don't. That can slow the UI down.

Disable hdcp then go into safe mode (hold power 8 seconds till second beeps) and rebuild database. If that doesn't sort it, again go into safe mode and select restore system defaults (option 4) you'll have to set up internet again probably, but it won't delete anything.

Does it only happen in the menu? I haven't seen any glitches connected to either my 1080p projector or 4K tv. I did get a few save errors while playing GT Sport, yet my wifi has never been the most reliable.

Problems I do have with the pro, move controllers have a 40% chance of not synching when turned on. The controller turns on but nothing happens and I have to use a pin to reset the move controller to try again or use a cable to get the thing started. Always fun when you already have the headset on.

And since the beginning, my amp and the ps4 / ps4 pro have the occasional 'can't agree on sound' battle. My amp keeps blinking between 5.1 and nothing until I switch to a different input and back. HDMI is so wonderful, not.

About believing it's running Hi-res and HDR, I noticed you get used to that fast. Then I switched back to cable and it looks like there's something wrong with the tv :/ How quickly one becomes spoiled.

Only PS4 connected at the moment, the other cables connected are disconnected on the other end.

Will look at this tip, thanks.

It happened in Just Cause 3 sometimes... but all other times it happened mostly during the first minute of turn up or wake up.

The controller I never had to connect but sometimes it doesn't sync when I change from the base to Pro... one thing though is that the controller that came with the pro have an issue with the Pad that it doesn't track swipe on the Pad.

Yep probably that situation where we notice if it becomes ugly a lot better than it looking pretty.

It happens to mine as well, every so often. Normally it looks like it's just reconnecting to the TV via HMI. I think it started happening more often after I switched it from my Loewe to my Sony Bravia.

My PSN got really slow all of a sudden and I had to restart my modem (wans't PSN but me)

Now, I have noticed that the black screens can result from the Processor VR box. and the auto on setting on some HDTVs. Whenever this happens you hold down the PS button to summon it back to attention.

It just blinks rapidly. The PSN is not correlated with my internet, happens for over 6 months. And the blink happens even when connected straight to tv, may be the auto, but happens in different moments.

It sounds like you may have a faulty unit.
