Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4Pro glitch

Hey guys is this happening with any of you?

Sometimes during normal usage the screen black out for some seconds and come back normally? This happened with some different cables already.

Also it takes forever to load PSN and the console freeze in some videos of de games on PSN, also take forever to process the order (usually respond the service is under maintenance).

I hadn't had these issues on base PS4.

I use a Pro and haven't had this exact problem but when using PSVR it will sometimes black out or mute the audio for a second. Seems to happen after waking from sleep mode. Usually logging my profile out and back in will fix it.

Other than this I haven't had any problems with the Pro, I don't have a base PS4 to compare it to though since I didn't get a modern console until the Pro.

Mine does everytime after about 2 minutes, comes back after about 2 seconds. I thought it was from the Switch being hooked up as well, as it was causing issues before Nintendo issued a patch, but maybe its the same thing you are seeing.

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

For me it's strange that the UI seems a lot slower on Pro compared to baseline.

My PSN got really slow all of a sudden and I had to restart my modem (wans't PSN but me)

Now, I have noticed that the black screens can result from the Processor VR box. and the auto on setting on some HDTVs. Whenever this happens you hold down the PS button to summon it back to attention.

It just blinks rapidly. The PSN is not correlated with my internet, happens for over 6 months. And the blink happens even when connected straight to tv, may be the auto, but happens in different moments.

I had the pro freeze on me while using the store (preview videos) with a game and netflix suspended in the background. I also had the random blackouts with psvr yet those have been gone since an update a few months ago. They used to happen once or twice a little while after starting the console yet I haven't had any issues with psvr for a long time now.

Blinking rapidly suggest some kind of hdmi problem. Try a different cable maybe, different hdmi port on the tv.

Yep, it has happened to me. I wonder what it is.

The UI on the pro isnt slower than the original. They both the same and the black screen happens to both frequently as well.

Now this is scaring me, hope this gets sorted out before I buy one early next year. This blackout thing never happened to my standard PS4 before selling it.
