Trump's tax proposal: raise taxes on the poor, give to the rich

Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump's tax proposal: raise taxes on the poor, give to the rich

Actually what he is saying is very true. My tax bracket will see a tax decrease as will most other people. Also having the standard deduction doubled will give more back to the majority as well. Reducing the corporate tax will bring money back into the states and generate revenue for the federal government, it will also provide incentive for companies to remain based in the US which depending on the H1B status will generate more US jobs. The reason so many companies have headquarters outside the US is in large part due to the corporate tax being much lower everywhere else. Same reason jobs are being outsourced or sourced by under the table illegals. The requirement to provide expensive healthcare to US based employees drives up the cost for companies which then turn to over seas labor to reduce that cost.

I remember when I saw the first debate between Hillary and Trump, it all made sense then and there. Trump talked about how Obama ruined the country, how there's a huge debt. His solution? Lower taxes. Brilliant.

Lowering taxes is only a part of it. Yes if only lowering taxes you will see more debt because you have less income. If however you start taxing imports at a higher rate you increase revenue and create the possability for more jobs in the US which will bring in more tax revenue. The reason you are creating more job opportunities by increasing import taxes is because companies will be forced to either bring jobs back to the US to avoid the import tax or pay the higher tax, either way your revenue increases.  As I said in my last post as well, reducing the corporate tax to a level that allows companies to keep more money if based in the US will bring companies that have moved headquarters back to the states. The tax plan is designed to make it more lucrative to do business in the US vs its current setup which makes it far more profitable to operate outside the US.

You shouldn't  believe everything you read on liberal trash websites. Just sayin'.

Yeah, not only the stance of the OP's statement but I opened up the first link and right when I saw "Washington Post" I didn't even bother reading anymore.

If he gets rid of the estate tax that is the ultimate tax cut on the rich. We should fight against that as hard as possible.

Why exactly would anyone be for this ridiculous tax? Do you understand what it is? Lets say you worked for 50 years building a company like the HIlton, when you die you want your kids to inherit what you worked those 50 years for lets say its 100 million. That 100 million has already been taxed as income and is your money free and clear. When you die and will it to your kid, you would expect your kid to get all 100 million right? Why would the goverment be entitled to half of that money because you died? Better yet, why would your son now get taxed on that money as income? Wouldnt that be double taxing money already taxed? This law doesnt affect me since Im not rich and none of my family is but it is a BS law that is designed as a money grab for the goverment. Whatever you earn in your lifetime should be able to get passed down to your children 100%, the goverment is not entitled to any of it.

Alreaqdy debunked.

O'RLY?

Straight from the Tax Policy Center:

"By 2027, taxes would rise for roughly one-quarter of taxpayers, including nearly 30 percent of those with incomes between about $50,000 and $150,000 and 60 percent of those making between about $150,000 and $300,000," the study said. "The number of taxpayers with a tax increase rises over time."

Trump is not for the "little guy".

'Buh Obama!'

Ok, now what about Trump? Why is it that any criticism avout Trump will always be directed to Obama or Hillary? Stop beating the bush and answer the actual problem.

That's their only defense. Whataboutism. Since they can't defend their Nazi leader, they attack anyone else. They're basically saying, "Since Person A broke the rules, it's okay for ME to break the rules." Which isn't how the world works but it the crux of their political ideology. It's weak and pathetic, like Trump.

They seem to not understand that you can condem more than one group at a time. For example one of the most infuriating things is when I hear people go, "This is what science is focused on? Why do we fund them?" When they see an article about a minor and sometimes stupid study. While ignoring that "science" is not an organization and has millions of people studying different things in each respective branch of said subject.

Whataboutism is another way of saying "I can't find a way to justify his actions."

Yet the Liberal media and Democrats throw out BS labels like Nazi and Racist to try and drive their point home or paint the President in a bad light. Increasing deportations of illegals and removing DACA doesnt make Trump a racist. Last time I checked their are plenty of white people in this country illegally from other countries. Last I checked Trump also denounced all hate groups including Neo-Nazis and the KKK. The reason Hillary and Obama get pointed out is because the Democrats and Liberals hale them as their gods that do no wrong while crapping from their mouths about Trump and everything they feel he is doing wrong. From a policy standpoint Trump is one of the best Presidents we have had in ages. If he had Obamas ability to speak he would be an amazing President. We have essentially swapped one for the other, one spoke a good game and was poor on execution with bad ideas, the other is bad with speaking but has great ideas about what needs to happen. If he had Obamas speaking ability he would have no problem getting everything he wants, ACA would be gone, Travel ban would be in place etc.

All of that said though, the media is making the US look like a bunch of idiots, not Trump. The constant spin from companies like CNN, MSNBC, Wapo etc. get their base all riled up and create problems out of nothing. Those companies need to either report the news as it happens without interjecting their opinions or start off each show with "This is our opinion on what just happened".

My taxes should go down according to the tax plan. My standard deduction should be 12,000 instead of 6,000. When it is all said and done I could see around a thousand dollar tax cut. Which will be great for me and many other Americans.

Minute I saw 'liberal media' I knew this would be bullshit again.

Stop using whataboutism. For fuck's sake, do I look like the guy who jerks off to Obama or any specific person? I don't care if Starocean calls Trump Hitler or a communist. I clearly avoid doing that, and actually criticize people.

However, as long as you continue to use 'liberal media' in your arguments, it'll forever be viewed as idiotic. It's as impetuous as blaming Fox News for every issue.

Nothing in this says anything about increasing taxes for the poor. Did you just make that up because you know the partisan stupidity means no-one will bother fact checking nowadays?

Of course a big tax cut is gonna benefit the rich more. They pay the majority of the income taxes.

I swear people don't really know how to think this stuff through. And I'm completely against lowering taxes for the rich. But I'm bored out of my mind of the left promoting anti-intellectual garbage whenever it happens to fit the conclusion they want.

Used "Liberal media" unironically. Already not gonna read for that. I'll use "Nazi" and "racist" for as long as you call it "liberal media".
