Forums - Politics Discussion - Anti-gamergaters - a quick look at where some of them are now

I found this hilarious post on Twitter about people (journos, writers, etc.) who were vocally anti-gamergate. This is about where 15 of them are now:

Surely this is not a coincidence, right?

Such a controversial topic.

Why does it feel to me like you're being defensive?

The Tweet isn't appearing on my end.

Never mind, it appeared.

It's actually pretty amusing to see where they ended up.

Where are they? I don't want to click on links to find out.

Long list of sexual harassment cases done by people who accused the GamerGate movement of perpetuating sexual harassment.

The whole gamergate thing was such a massive cesspool of idiocy on both sides of the argument that it's no surprise that nothing good ever came out of it. It's just amazing how in an argument that at least supposedly started about ethics in video game journalism became about two equally stupid groups of people trying to see who could yell at the other louder.

Are the gamer gate justice crusaders still bravely battling those evil “females” from the “‘puters” of their parents’ basements?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

It keeps happening. lol

What a lovely group. I paid little attention to the gamergate proceedings, and as such, knew nothing of these people or their roles in it until seeing this twitter post. Now that I'm somewhat up to speed their past, I'm taking some pleasure in seeing them exposed as frauds.

What started as an actually interesting topic about ethics in the video game industry turned into an absolute cesspool. Pure stupidity from both sides, and truth be told I have almost no knowledge of what happened after the shitfest unleashed
