Sooner than I expected, I was thinking it would be sometime in December since we'd reached mid October without a date.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
Should be a nice change of pace after Mario Odyssey; a colourful upbeat platformer, then a dark gritty shooter, then a middle-ground JPRG with Xenoblade 2. Variety is the spice of life.
So in the end, it'll be less than 2 months between the announcement of Doom on Switch and its release; this bodes well for the chances that there are a lot of 2018 titles we don't know about yet.
I remember playing Doom on a PC a long time ago and was enjoying it so much despite how outdated it was. After looking at some videos the game looks fun. However no motion controls is such a deal breaker. I will use this game as a local multiplayer game since I still need some more of those on my Switch.
Oh wait it doesn't have local multiplayer ether. -_-
This is why I can't game on other systems. XD

Im a bit surprised Bethesda is releasing Doom & Skyrim only a week apart. Not that im complaining or anything, I just hope they dont cannibalize each other resulting in Bethesda dropping support for Switch.

Yeah, it is a bit close, but hopefully with one being an open world RPG and the other a corridor FPS they're different enough not to clash too much.
