Sony was the highest grossing publisher in August 2017, when Fate/Grand Order overtook Monster Strike to become the number 1 app. The rise of Madoka Magica just solidifies their position at the top spot.

It's not surprising at all if you have been following the mobile charts for a while. Sony, Gung Ho, Bandai Namco, Square Enix and Konami have been in the top 10 for 2 years, if not longer. Sega Sammy and Nintendo have broken into the top 10 on a few occasions. At the moment, the only major Japanese publishers of console games struggling to find success in the mobile space are Capcom and Koei Tecmo.



Eh, had no idea their mobile business was this strong in Japan.



I'm kinda surprised by this. I would guessed it would be nintendo if you asked me any other day about this.
