I don't know why but I can see Skyrim sales close to ARMS sales, the target audience seems to be the same

You are comparing two VERY, VERY different genres here my friend. I do not think that the target audience is the same for these two games.

I'm not your friend, pal, and the genre doesn't matter, the "target audience" I've mentionned earlier is the one who could try something new or odd, the one who don't look for a specific genre but just want to have a different type of fun, the one who could buy 1,2,Switch if it wasn't a scam.

Im not your pal, friend, and if the target audience that you refer to here is the one that is willing to try odd games well, let me tell you that Skyrim is not an odd game at all, it is a very standard RPG game if you ask me. You are just giving me the reason here. Skyrim is not the type of game targeted to the 1,2 Switch and Arms and even Splatoon type of game audience.

2 Million
I think the US sales will suprise people a lot.
Skyrim is very popular in the US
They are putting it in their prime spot with Pokémon.
Nintendo is publishing and want to market it as a big game.
It’s portable Skyrim

Bets:

(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

Raichu's First Series:

First RPG?

First Fighter?

First Racer?

First Shooter?

First MMO?

First Horror?

Official Ni No Kuni Fanboy:

Familiars Captured:37

Game Beaten: 2 times almost

Times I got teary during some scenes: 3

I thought it would do 1 million, but their is a lot of completion from better games. We'll see, I'm still sticking to 1 million lifetime, this game has been quite heavily marketed since the game's launch and a good few Nintendo fans might have never of played it before.

It will quickly reach 400k, then leg it out to 600k. A modest success.

I really wonder as to where anybody pulling numbers even close to 1mln is getting them.

It's a re-release of an ancient game with no previous following on Nintendo platforms. 600-700k, at best.

It was a re-release of an ancient game when it came to PS4/Xbone as well. And no previous following on Nintendo platforms means plenty of buyers who haven't played it yet. Plus it's been quite well publicized, and it has the x factor of being a AAA open world game on the go, something that it still quite novel. Zelda being Switch's flagship killer app should also have helped attract an audience that's into this kind of thing.

I can't see it doing less than a million frankly.

I'm gonna guess just shy of a mil. I figure it may not sell well due to it being old and everyone's already played it several times already, but portability may make it for a more enticing sell.

I'm not your friend, buddy. And when I said "odd" I meant "intriguing" and an open world with dragons and magic is kind of intriguing.

Our definition of target audience is biased by what we already know about gamers, but it's not all black or white. I bought Arms and Splatoon because they were odd, and I want to buy Skyrim because it's intriguing.

And it may be presumptuous to consider my own behaviour as the one of a specific audience, but I don't think my gaming habits are too specific.

If you're tired of me saying specific, I can understand.

You have some valid arguments (publicity, AAA on the go), but I still don't see any of it justifying anything near a million in sales.
