Cory Barlog on God of War (2018):

''As a creative person who's dedicating five years to something – I don't want to do just the same thing. You have to give a lot of yourself to this. One of the things I talked to Sony about when I came back was that I don't just want to make another game. It's not about just shipping something. I want to make a game that really means something. I want something with heart. I want something that I can show my kid and really say that I'm proud of what it says. I want to be able to tell him that I loved working on this, but I also feel I gave a piece of myself to it. I think that would be a great lesson for him to take away from this. If you give a piece of yourself, and are really sincere – that's the reward.''

Combine SSM talent and expierence with a strong vision and freedom from Sony and this game will easily have a 95 on meta.

I think that means absolutely nothing. It could go either way. There is no effective rule that creative freedom = high critical reception.

Are you saying that giving Hello Games complete freedom and all the time they needed didn't make No Man's Sky a masterpiece?

mario odyssey will probably be a better received game than zelda(if thats possible).Botw is the first of this kinda for nintendo in a long time, therefore they still have a lot of things to improve and polish in the next game.Odyssey will be the union of all mechanics nintendo is using in mario in the last decade.I have high expectations for this game.So this isnt much of a surprise.

I personally don't see SMO reaching 97, if it did that'd be extraordinary for a console to have 2 titles like that in the same year.

Edge gave every 3D Mario a 10 unless it's name is Super Mario Sunshine (Which is totally deserved!)

This isn't a total surprise but this game will probably easily reach Super Mario Galaxy terms of scores since Edge is like the harshest critic compared to most.

They didn't gave 3D World a 10 either

I keep forgetting that game exists. Maybe it is because of how forgotable I find it.  Also 3D land isn't as well.

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Biggest pikmin fan on VGchartz I won from a voting poll

Waiting for Jim Sterlings 7/10 review and the nuclear holocost towards him.

He gave Mario Kart Deluxe a 9. I think he may be inclined to give Odyssey a great score if there are not too much hindrances that slows him in the gameplay (his main grip about BotW)

You're clearly not interested in God of War and didn't read or watch any developer interviews.

I don't recall even mentioning God of War.
