DS Emulation comparison:

how the heck do you even play a DS game on an emulator?

I generally play DS games on my phone using Drastic. Playing Spirit Tracks on it was always a weird experience since u had to blow on your phone to play that flute thing. Luckly I eventually found out the emulator actually has a way of emulating the blowing so you didn't have to!

With a controller?

Touch screen elements you can use the touch pad on the PS4 for, or do what most do, and use the mouse for that.

Not all games make use of touch screen, and most can be played with just buttons.

First step would be to get a emulator like DeSmuME, No$GBA.

Then the roms, you can either dump them on your own, or do the grey zone thing, and download someone else's dumped rom.

Here how you do it to the games you own:

Since we re showing off what emulators can do.... I was always rather impressed with PPSSPP.

 PSP vs PPSSPP:

PSPs games upscaled look amasing:

I love PPSSPP. Lots of my physical games that I would have wished were available on the Vita, but were never made available, are now playable on my PC. Graphically, it's almost (but not quite) as good as the PS2.

What some people showing the native v upscale comparisons (for portables) here forget is the fact that the small screens of each portable mask lots of the differences. It doesn't look nearly as bad on a real PSP or DS, though it doesn't look nowhere near emulator quality either...

Just throwing it out there...

Yeah thats something thats true, i guess a more valid comparison would be making the native image smaller?, maybe adding a bit of scanlines (Very tiny amount) to get closer to the original?.

Technically yes, but then you can imagine how a 480x272 or twice (thrice) bigger image compares to a 1080p one

Here's are some games from various emulators.
