Are you joking? Really?
First of all, I would have preferred your own argument. Second of all, the "bearded guy" - the completionist. He pretty much has a vendetta against Dark Souls. not joking. This guy is a "completionist". He plays some of the toughest games out there, a lot of them retro. But he can't stand ... Dark Souls? Really? Either he's not a completionist, or he just sucks. And this is coming from a fan. He's even said he never wanted to play the game because he got so many requests from it. He's been a contrarian on the game forever, honestly. I remember seeing his Dark Souls vid when it first came out.
"You don't know where you're going" - Really? I never got this complaint. The one area you're supposed to go in for Dark Souls to progress is literally the most obvious area to go in - the area right in front of you! Once you're dropped at Firelink Shrine it should be obvious as hell where you're supposed to go, especially given the difficult and symbolism of the other areas. You'd essentially have to cut out all the other areas too make it anymore obvious, which would ruin the shortcuts and open world nature of the game.
"The most important item in the game is obscure. You cant even find it! I'm of course talking about the iron ring"
..... BAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. Oh.My.God. This is the video you want to use to represent your points? Holy shit! The iron ring is the most important item in Dark Souls!
By the way, this comes from a guy who loves games with cryptic messages and who can't get through a game without a guide. So even if this was true(it isn't), it would be hypocritical.
The items don't lie to you, that was one item that was mistranslated. I'm pretty sure that became a legit item in 3? I'm used to using that item honestly.
It's not that hard to progress in Dark Souls , holy fuck.
Gotta be honest, his criticism of it being like Ocarina of Time from a combat standpoint shows the arrogance. Ocarina of time doesn't allow you to do cool things, like exploit the enemy or learn super cool items or magic spells to fight(there are spells but it's kind of hard to use them in a fight). Ocarina of time is restrictive to just Z-targeting, Dark Souls actually encourages you don't in several moments. Even that has nothing to do with fairness though, just personal taste.
Goodnightmoon, do you have any real points about Dark Souls? Have you actually played it?
