The Witcher 3 PS4 Pro patch has just arrived, adding 4K resolution support and a "slight" boost to performance. It took longer than "just a few days" after all.

"Yes, the game has just received an upgrade patch, enabling it to take advantage of the additional power offered by the PS4 Pro," CD Projekt Red told me. "When playing the game on a PS4 Pro system, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and all its additional content feature support for 4K resolution and a slight boost to performance."

Finally, good news for PS4 Pro owners.

Do you know what the improvements are ?? i just recently got a Pro and i never got around to play Witcher 3 :D

Evidently it's not that big a patch so I'm assuming it really only upscales and 'perhaps' adds supersampling. 

Nice. I was literally just telling a friend last night I was hoping this patch drops soon. I'll be jumping on later today.

Speaking of the Witcher, do I need to play the first two before I play this one?

A bit surprised. If asked, I would have assumed it was already patched.

Have started this game (found it boring), will test what the patch will look like. don't we have comparison shoots yet?
