Shouldn't you be catching an Infowars stream right now?

Nobody is demonizing all white men. Just the idiot racist kind. Much like the right isn't demonizing all black men, just the idiot racist kind.

There are enough victim groups in your country, don't try to add another one.

I can't stand Alex Jones screaming nonsense at me. PJW is ok though.

CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/03/opinions/mass-shootings-white-male-rage-modan-opinion/index.html

Sydney Morning Herald (I'm Australian BTW): http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/news-and-views/opinion/the-epidemic-of-white-men-turning-into-lone-wolves-20171003-gyto6c.html

Then there's the usual leftist outlets:  Salon, Vox etc. https://www.salon.com/2017/10/02/americas-white-man-problem-after-las-vegas-a-familiar-script-unfolds/

https://www.vox.com/world/2017/10/2/16396612/las-vegas-mass-shooting-terrorism-islam

So I guess the MSM are the idiot racist kind?

They're saying white men but they're not meaning all white men as if it was a distinct demographic.

You can see it as a counter distinguisher because usually when something is reported in the news the skin color is only mentioned when it's not about caucasians. With saying "white men" they want to highlight that white men are just as able to commit crimes as any other ethnicity.

As a white male, do you really feel under attack and marginalized or generalized? Or do you just want to have a bite of the tasty victim cake other minorities are having?

Since the Las Vegas shooting I am noticing a disturbing trend where people in the liberal media and elsewhere are collectively demonising a group of people based on the colour of their skin. This group is 'white men'.

I'm not sure what the whiteness of a persons' skin has to do with their character. Dr Martin Luthor King would be appalled.  If anyone referred to any other group in a negative light i.e 'black women', or 'brown people' they would probably end up being fired (or worse).

I see these groups saying that if this was an Islamic terror attack, all Muslims would be demonised. This is a false equivalence. Islam is not a race, it's a set of (really bad) ideas. ISIS read and refer to the same texts as moderate muslims. Bad ideas can be criticised. Most importantly though, Muslims can be any colour. Just as communists, Christians and fascists can be.

I can't believe the liberal media don't see the double standard, and dangerous people like Jared Taylor are just waiting for enough people to fall for the identity politics to build a political platform based on 'race realism'. He claims he is not a white supremacist. But read his work, he considers black people akin to a different species.

We can't let this happen. We saw the results of this over 70 years ago. Wake up.

While I somewhat agree with the general sentiment, I feel that it is part of a much broader issue of overgeneralization, compartimentalization, which you contribute to by specifically associating the problem to liberals.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Can you please link some examples of this? These kind of discussions is pretty pointless without some clear examples and context.

1. there is only one human race. If you target one specific minority it can indeed be considered racism.

2. I’m German. My whole life my group of people has been ‘demonized’. Do I cry about it?! No. Get over yourself

3. You should be glad to for once how it feels to be in that targeted minority. Could indeed open the minds of some Trump supporters.

White males have the double advantage based on their ethnicity = white and gender = male. Laws are created to ensure protection of disadvantaged groups and push towards equality.

Any facts in specific to add any validity to this statement?

Are you referring to any specific place where this is factual or just in general on the planet Earth?

please disregard the above in case you were being facetious.

thanks

I guess in the arms race for the shittiest take this thread was only a matter of time

Ergh... this thread is all over the place. Feminism got thrown in here and we go for the wild train.

White supremacy defenders exist. I don't agree about the generalisation of "white men" to describe them, but doing that is also not an excuse to lash out at others.

So honestly... wish you'd behave yourselves. Spreading the hate to all groups is exactly what those people want to do, and you are falling for it.

Also, stop blaming the media for everything. Who even watches that much TV anymore? Reporters on TV don't represent anyone but themselves. Stop feeling personally attacked cause someone says white men on TV.

Keep calm, keep control, keep smart.
