Other (list below) | 14 | 2.59% | |
Total: | 540 |
1. Ocarina of Time (N64)
2. A Link to the Past (SNES)
3. Oracle of Ages (GameBoy)
Breath of the Wild should not be in the top 3. Ocarina of Time should be the top of everyones list.
Games I have Finished
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Link's Awakening
3. Breath of the Wild
Twilight Princess was the long-time #3, now Breath of the Wild topped it for the moment, bumping the former down to 4th. Even though Twilight Princess' dungeons and bosses wipe the floor with BotW's and are even some of the best overal, BotW's world and mechanics give it the edge.
I could list the rest as well, but as said by someone already there's been plenty of threads about this already where I did list everything.

Eh, I wouldn't say boss battles. There were definitely a few great ones but then there were also a fair share of crappy ones like the rock ball one, the Monsters Inc one and obviously the black one you need to fight a whopping 3 times. These were lame, formulaic and just plain boring (when not annoying). For best bosses, I would say at least in the 3D games Breath of the Wild is the best - the bosses were mostly easy, sure, but they at least felt like real battles and not glorified puzzles, which was a problem with 90% of 3D Zelda bosses. The 2D games have far better bosses in general.
That's your loss for being narrow-minded and incapable of enjoying amazing games because some chip parts you can't see aren't latest high-end tech. |
Actually it's the opposite to my loss, I have saved myself the money the Switch would have cost me plus extra memory to compensate for the ridiculous 32GB it has plus other accessories like the better controller not included in the box and I won't even talk about the online chat system which is appalling to say the least.
As for the chip parts or should I say "cheap" parts, I totally can see their lacking in power when I see reviews of Zelda having for example lots of aliasing cause the hardware is not strong enough to have anti-aliasing implementations working in the software.
And since you so candidly lay judgement on my choices regarding games, allow me to return you the favor by imparting with you my opinion on your gaming choices. Looks to me like you're blinded by your fanboyism to the point you totally lack critical thinking which actually makes this your loss. If this game is re-released in a few years on better hardware as one could reasonably expect, I'll be enjoying the better version of that game which makes my choice de facto the smarter one, not mentioning the DLC's of BOTW will likely be included in that future release from day one which is like a bonus on top of everything else.
Cheers mate

Interesting to see that you hold Link's Awakening in such high regards. I, too, have it on my Top 3; and while I totally disagree with your no.1 pick choice, it seems you and me generally agree on certain games and have, strangely enough, a very very similar soft spot for them. It also happened with Knights of the Old Republic, for reference.

Not sure where I think Breath of the Wild falls since I've still not finished it, but it doesn't really seem to have much of a story in comparison to the others... the gameplay is really fun though (Except weapon durability, man that annoys me!), so there's that, lol. |
BotW does have plenty of story but you have to look for the memories to get most of it (and a more complete ending).
Signature goes here!
All of them are amazing games. My favorite are Breath of the Wild (which I've enjoyed for 150 hours and fell in love with everything it offered), the Wind Waker (gorgeous artstyle and story development and great humour) and Twilight Princess (loved how dark it looks and also it is a bit more mature). But I gotta admit, I have a special place in my heart for the GBA one (the Minish Cap) and Skyward Sword. Both were beautiful and really fun to play. SS deserves a second chance to shine on the Switch, with the joycons being so similar to the Wiimote, they can give us a 1080p/60fps rendition with the same amazing motion controls, or even improve them!
1) Breath of the Wild
2) Ocarina of Time
3) Link's Awakening
Link to the Past, Wind Waker and Majora's Mask would be equal fourth.
1: Skyward Sword
2: Breath of the Wild
3: Twilight Princess

Actually I do love games which is why I want to enjoy them on decent hardware that can actually do the job.
Not sure why it bothers you if I want to wait a few years before maybe getting BOTW on some future Switch 2.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for instance, I enjoyed those as HD remasters on PS3, never did those on PS2 so
you see, nothing to be bothered about.
