Phantom Hourglass - Yes, I know that the game has big flaws (specially that Ocean King Temple), but I remember having a great fun with it. In fact, I really enjoyed the touch controls. HoweverI had to select the best game, and not my personal favorite, I would vote for Link to the Past.

For me it's 1: Ocarina of Time, 2: Twilight Princess and 3: Wind Waker.
I cannot say about Breath of the Wild as I don't care for the Switch hardware, too weak in my opinion.
Maybe I'll be able to play BOTW in a few years if/when Nintendo releases better hardware that I consider worthy of its time, assuming they release again BOTW on such better hardware...

Come to think of it, I still haven't played Skyward sword. Oh well, same thing as I just said for BOTW.

Glad to see Majora's Mask in so many Top 3!

Mine goes:

1. Majora's Mask (out-of-this-world atmosphere, music and characters)
2. Oracle of Seasons (played so much of this one on GBA)
3. Breath of the Wild (and maybe tie with A Link Between Worlds)
4. (bonus) Twilight Princess

Not a zelda fan by any stretch but...

1. The minish cap (played a decent amount in ROM form during boring computer classes in high school)
2. A link to the past (played it for like 15 minutes and realized it wasn't a traditional RPG)
3. Majora's mask (never played it but I like the creepyness of it)

I have to rank Breath of the Wild #1 on my list, because I was absolutely captivated by it. The ability to play anywhere certainly helped, but it was a combination of the two that resulted in my pouring over 210 hours into the game from launch day in March until defeating Ganon in August. The original Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past remain on my list due to the sheer number of times I have gone back and played them and enjoyed them over the years from the time they were released to as recently as this year.

I like this splitting up of Zelda into 2D and 3D so I'm going to steal that idea.

And then probably a 3 way tie between Breath of the Wild, Windwaker, and Skyward Sword. But really, they are all top notch games and a slight breeze could sway any game in the entire series into a leading position.
