I was honestly thinking it was an Islamic extremist, but having a mentally unstable person shoot up 50+ people isn't any better :/

It's just disappointing to see such a huge disaster.

You should reread that.

I understood what you meant. Just saying that it's unfortunate to see so many hurt, regardless of cause.

What's worse is the amount of stereotypes being thrown around in a situation like this. No one needs to hear how all Americans magically possess ak-47's for the 100th time.

Literally no one is talking about that. Why do you have to shoehorn such ridiculous claims in a discussion about a mass shooting? Have some respect for christ's sake.

Nobody is angry it wasn't a muslim. But if it was, then its just easier to assume what the motivation was.

Anytime people are murdered we want to know the motive, that's not exclusive to muslims.

I'm still shocked he said that. Does anyone eagerly wait for Muslim terrorists just so they can they be angry and riled up? That's such a ridiculous claim in all honesty, and disrespectful considering how irrelevant it is to the discussion

What are you going on about?

You couldn't get a car into that area. Also Cars are deadly but even most car attacks the number isn't any where near that amount.

They could also create IEDs that could blow and and do quite a bit of damage.

That's true, but IED's aren't sold in Walmart. Thats the craziness of American law.

I challenge anyone to kill 50 people in a crowd with a knife. Heck even with a pistol that would be difficult.

There's no reason why someone needs an assault rifle for protection.

If I was going to even consider doing that... I would probably opt for something other than a knife.

Its not impossible to kill 50 people with pistols. Obviously you would have numerous magazines loaded. I hear the shooting went on for like 10 minutes. I'm not a gun expert, but I think I could shoot a few hundred shots in 10 minutes if I had a bunch of loaded magazines and maybe if there are a few pistols incase of jamming and what not.

Frankly, he was just shooting into a large crowd from above. I assume that made hitting people relatively easy.

Good luck shooting over 250 with a pistol before someone stops you. Reloading? That takes time. There's absolutely no way man.

You could get a car into any open area with enough prepartion and planning. It can be more damaging depending on how it's used.. That's exactly why this guy was so deadly. He used the gun in the most effective way you could and he planned it out that way. It's the same thing with bombs.

Depending but there is a reason why the car attacks don't kill as much people as you'd think, it's a lot more difficult than it looks. That's why shooting an assault rifle into the crowd was the preferred option because its way easier to kill a lot more people.

Bombs the damage is limitless but you can't buy bombs in Walmart. Kind of my point is it's way to easy to get guns in America.

When will you Americans learn about Gun Control? It does work.

There is no way you can control guns in a country of such size. It's not even entirely possible in Australia.

Well... I guess that kinda makes sense why he would shoot at a country music event.

If that's true though, the media will solely focus on guns and not the motive.

Sorry. Someone took that post for something else earlier and I thought that you might have did the same. I agree about the stereotypes especially when they're aren't true or misleading.

If you had a few pistols and a bunch of magazines it can be done. You could empty a magazine in seconds.

It was a massive crowd as well, so hitting people was easier.

Its rather simple...

Crazy people with assault rifles can kill many people.

Inother countries the guy would have to use a knife likely

I hope that's not the case. We don't need the right vs left mentality getting any worse. Saying opinions and debating is fine but we don't want it to escalate further.

As soon as I woke up to this story, I knew my Facebook feed would make this tragedy about "Which race is worse" and "Donald Trump policies". Of course, they did not disappoint. No compassion. Just an immediate race to say "I told you so."

If you had many many pistols and military training it could MAYBE be done. But (now) 450 people is a lot of people and I said 'a' pistol not pistols. Rounds were firing anywhere for several minutes. You're not thinking properly or haven't dealt with guns if you think you could do that kind of damage and spread with even several pistols.
