More likely shows that some of the formerly in engine cutscenes have been moved over to a pre rendered format to go easy on processing power in certain scenes that the switch might have been having troubles with.

Just a thought, unlikely to be having higher resolution textures than the PC version on the Switch if you get me.

They could be using a lower power form of compression for the textures, or there is a lot of Amiibo support we don't know about.

can't really imagine 2.3GB of amiibo content though, would be nuts, you could be on the ball with the compression techniques in use though, make it easier for the cpu and slower memory to handle if it isn't decompressing as much on the fly.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

For comparison: The original takes 6 GB on PC, and Special Edition takes 12 GB.

Wait it is bigger than even the special edition? So we get the Special edition + now?

There is something they are not telling us.

They are saving the mod support annoucment for later!

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

It should cost 10$ lol. Don't get me wrong, I love Skyrim, but I can't for the life of me figure out why on earth anyone would still pay full price for it. I the Legendary Edition on PC for like 7$...

Never played it. Will be a Christmas gift to myself.

Honestly it will probably do well even full priced but what annoys me more is that if you bought it on PS4 and you want the VR version you have to buy it again.

Yep, it's bigger, which is odd. I wouldn't expect it to be because of mod support though, since it doesn't have to take any space and it's built into the PC version(s) already (i.e. it's included in both the 6 GB and the 12 GB number).

Some games are bigger to download than install it was the same on Wii U and other platforms as well, I think the platforms needs the extra space to make a sort of temprary download client to download the game in its allocated space on storage.

I suppose motion controls, the Breath of the Wild outfit and weaponry will take up a whole extra 2.3GBs. This seems quite bizarre.

It also comes with all the DLC, it should explain the extra GBs
