Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Switch Ver. file size will be 14.3GB

I think it could cost $40 since it will fit on a 16gb card and of course because it's a port, anyway I'll buy it.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will take up 14.3GB of space. That’s according to a listing on the European eShop, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim launches for Switch on November 17.

Meh, thats fine. Bad game tho

I am hyped to play Skyrim on the Switch. I never beat the campaign during my play through on the Xbox 360 because the game glitched and there was no way I could continue the main story unless I started a new game. This was something Bethesda's support team told me themselves. I message them for support and that was their answer, rather than implementing a patch. I am still a little bit salty haha (I played the game for well over 100 hours and their customer support team telling me to start a new game was very frustrating).

Now I can play the game many years after launch, including all of the DLC, improved graphics and HOPEFULLY more stable gameplay.

For comparison: The original takes 6 GB on PC, and Special Edition takes 12 GB.

I suppose motion controls, the Breath of the Wild outfit and weaponry will take up a whole extra 2.3GBs. This seems quite bizarre.

That implies that we should get the better version of the game, with improved textures and such.

This implies we are getting a good version! The game looked really good in videos, very much like the PS4 / Xbox One versions. I'm considering getting it, I just want to know the price.

Meh, not even the new version. Looks between that and the original.
PC is the only place worth playing imo.

More likely shows that some of the formerly in engine cutscenes have been moved over to a pre rendered format to go easy on processing power in certain scenes that the switch might have been having troubles with.

Just a thought, unlikely to be having higher resolution textures than the PC version on the Switch if you get me.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

They could be using a lower power form of compression for the textures, or there is a lot of Amiibo support we don't know about.
