Mike and Rich Evans from Red Letter Media have a pretty great break down of it, these guys are massive Trek fans and some of the darkest humour of Youtube if you've not seen them, for younger users of VGchartz I would not advise watching RLM's videos.

Hmm Watching your vid now. Here's one review/stream from a female trekkie. As you can see, she didn't like it much. In spite of the name of the vid, her biggest gripe isn't the diversity but rather everything else. Worth at least watching some of it.

Shall check it out, always interested to see the other youtube channels that people on VGchartz make a part of their daily routine.

Didn't see the review, but have seen the first 3 episodes of the series. It's quite good actually. I'll be watching the rest of the episodes, unless the quality really drops.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Oh that the Mr Plinkett reviews of them, really dark in weird ways, but the guys themselves have some amazing work, if you check out their "fuck you it's january" video from the start of this year you get a fairly instant feel for what their channel offers in terms of sarcastic bastards.

I've actually seen a few of Red Letter Medias movie reviews before, where they posed as some odd VCR repair shop or something :P

The VCR repair workers is an ongoing story which is at the start and end of each of their "Half in the bag" reviews, they joke at times about them reviewing movies and complaining about tired plotlines while doing an ongoing plot over 100+ episodes.

Their Rogue one review they start it trying to be in character and immediately just throw that off and go straight into the movie and everything they hated about it, it's fantastic but got them a lot of grief for pointing out flaws.

A simple-minded moron gives show a good score aimed at simple-minded morons. Shocker.

That is offensively harsh.  I'm not a simple mine moron.

But I am!

This sounds like the Star Trek Show all us Joe Rogan fans have been waiting for!

I hope it is all about conspiracies, warrior codes, and how the Federation is evil.

That ending to the 3rd episode though... am I right?

I still think the series is great btw, no idea why so many people seem to dislike it.

This reminds me of FireFly.

I loved that series, yet so many americans seemed to hate it (which lead to it being cancelled).

I dont get all the hate people have for it.

Firefly was not hated by Americans. Firefly was cancelled because it was a high budget Sci Fi show on Fox. Plus Fox aired the episodes out of order. Fox kills sci-fi shows like EA kills development studios.

I was actually joking. The conspiracy theories, evil Federation, and warrior code stuff is pretty much all the stuff I disliked in Star Trek.

On Firefly, I neither hated it nor particularly liked it. I have only seen a few episodes, no more than 8 or 9, but I found the characters on the show a little "distant" for my tastes. I couldn't get into it. I might say the cowboy theme seemed a little tired for me, but then I saw Westworld, and quite liked that show.
