Step 1 is initated. Now let's see what they do with the emails. For those saying "oh Hillary deleted emails" sure she did, but either act is wrong. Quit moving goal posts, this is wrong no matter what way you slice it. And yeah, Hillary isn't president and doesn't have a cabinet of deplorables, racists, and dumbasses. So...

No but after 4 years of multiple investigations and new rules for using private email servers in an official government capacity, they should damn well know better.

I haven't read any of the stories because that is a lot of work and I'd rather just comment without knowing the facts, but are the really using private email servers? Or just private accounts?

This. I get it makes us vulnerable to potential enemies of the country, but if it is a crime -make Ivanka and Hillary pay for it. If not, they gotta stop making a big deal about it.

They have several rules for using them.  They are allowed but you must follow said rules.

1. No classified info.
2. Forward ALL email to your official government account every 20 days.
3. Follow mandated security protocols.

Plus many more.

They want them to use official government servers for security and oversight. Every official email is supposed to be available for certain oversight committees to monitor and preserve.

Trump's advisors were sporadically using private email servers or public solutions (Gmail) for official business and not forarding them to their official government servers.  The content (if classified or not) and the security protocols of these servers (Gmail aside) are not yet known but given the controversy of the past 4 years, it's shocking they would even consider not using the government provided servers.

Thanks for filling me in. That shed some light.
