I think Mario will be Huge while FIFA already had its peak with FIFA 17

Depends if Europe ever gets tired of FIFA. I expect Odyssey to outperform slightly.

This seems the oddest comparision. Tatally differant demigraphs and vastly differant install bases. Wouldnt Crash bandicoot vs SMO be better or something?

I would said similar, Fifa will have advantage at start because huge instal base, but will selling only until Fifa 19 don't arrive, on other hand Mario Odyssey will be must have title for lotsa Switch owners and it will continue selling in following years also.

FIFA has been constantly breaking internal records recently ... (it's almost the new COD of this generation at this point)

FIFA 15 (PS4) - 6.1M
FIFA 16 (PS4) - 8.6M
FIFA 17 (PS4) - 11.1M!

It'll be close but there's actually a good chance where FIFA 18 could beat SMO in lifetime sales ... 

This Year Fifa(PS4), Lifetime SMO will beat Fifa 18 for Ps4 but i dunno if can beat all platforms together.

That comparison seems kinda arbitrary. A game that is made to appeal to 90% of that console's audience vs a game that is made for and has widespread appeal across multiple platforms but is for some reason only counted on one of the many.

I guess it will be close. FIFA will only sell massively in 1 major territory (Europe) but SMO will sell large numbers in all 3 major territories, so i guess SMO gets it eventually, (Just)!

Well, Super Mario Odyssey will sell for a while, wheareas FIFA 18 will be replaced by FIFA 19, which gives Super Mario Odyssey an advantage, in fact enough of an advantage to make me go with that.
